damn I missed it :( Got please choose a channel
I got nothing but we'll be right back?
Nah, not anymore. They closed down most of the Starbucks joints in Australia. Bummer because the hot chocolate at the caf is crap, LOL! (Not that I go there anymore.):
There's a Starbucks at Westmead
Actually, seems quite sensible to me... eat your Big Mac then get treated for your heart attack straight away! PMSL!:
Macca's in the hospital - seems like a contradiction.
I thought it was really lovely... but kind of weird because of the epi. My friend swore by her epis for both her births - said she was laughing while pushing. Weird to me cause the births I've seen on the screen (and my own) have been drug free and the mum has been 'in the zone' and not particularly sociable!
I too was thinking, give that baby back to her mum! But must admit to shedding a tear when I heard the cry.
yay! on again!
hmmm me thinks i would rather have the pain than the giant needle in my back me thinks
...and now i am crying!! so gorgeous!
is still tellsme to choose a channel... how do I get it to work please?
CharlieBrownGirl, whether you have an epidural is completely up to you, BellyBelly is all about choice - but informed choice. It's worth checking out our articles so that when it comes to it, you're well informed about the pros and cons.
For what it's worth, my first birth was a waterbirth and it didn't occur to me to ask for pain relief - it was painful, but through breathing and the water and good support I birthed my bub, and felt like I could do it all again afterwards! My second felt so painful at the time, but that was because my labour was very fast (under an hour) so I doubt there'd have been time for pain relief at a hospital in any case.
What you eventually decide will be up to you, there are positives and risks, and if you make an educated decision and are able to own that, I know that there's nothing more that I would be asking of myself or anyone else. :)
ETA: I don't know Breeze, I didn't get that.

I bought a latte there this morning just before Yasin had his speech therapy so unless they shut it down this afternoon it escaped the cull. Funnily enough it actually tasted much better than I expected - maybe because my expectations of Starbucks are so low that if they serve me something I can drink I'm impressed.
LOL Nelle, you know RCH has a Maccas??? Was my saving grace when I was in there with DS
I loved seeing the birth, how amazing to share that with so many people. It did seem very weird to me, I was VERY vocal during my birth, not because I was in agony and traumatised, it really did help me through contractions to make lots of noise. (Those who know me IRL would not be surprised by that statement ;)). And mum looked very awkward in that position. I too was desperate to see the baby feed, and for them to just leave the baby alone and on her mum's chest!!! But you're right Nelle, time does get skewed after birth :).
CharlieBrownGirl, there are downsides to having an epi, and before you decide that it's what you definitely want, there is plenty of reading you can do to inform yourself of the risks to yourself and your baby, and the pros and cons. At the end of the day it's YOUR birth and YOUR baby, so totally your decision :). I had an epi (not for pain relief as such, circumstances dictated the need for it) and I will be avoiding having one again. I was not a fan.
Wow is all I can say - seemed awfully calm in the end. Interesting to read the comment history on the main site, especially when she decided to have an epi there was a few interesting comments mande. Don't think i'd be up for half the world being able to see me giving birth though.
Only negative thing I thought was why isn 't the hubby up there kissing her and the baby!
how do you get it to work???
EDIT
nevermind, found it
 yay finally got to see it last night
i cried lol
