Mine weren't that big, my biggest being 8lb 9oz, but I've not had statches yet! DS's head was 36cm. My biggest so far & not a graze :) Some people wouldn't admit to that, but I is proud of me :) As I said, not huge babies, but its more position than size ;)

Yep Clover, it's not so much the size as the shoulder dystocia. My first son was a big bub too (not as big as his brother though) but I had no complications with his birth.

Yes I definitely want to point out small bubs can have this too. I think there is even a study in the cochrane database about it. I know they even state that GD babes are at no higher risk for dystocia than others. Its all a positional thing. So get up, shake your butt and kick that epi to the curb!!!!

DS also turned during labour so was posterior, so for us I definitely think it actually had very little to do with his size, more that he was just in a really awkward position for delivery.
