My DD was born at 40+5, on a Saturday
DS1 contractions started on the Saturday night, was in labour all of Sunday wasn't born until very early on the Monday at 39+5.
DS2 had twinges on and off Saturday, nothing on the Sunday, twinges again on the Monday, waters broke on the Tuesday, born on the Tuesday at 39+1.
Is that because they are the days most convenient for hospitals?
My first two babies arrived past 41 weeks. My third had to be induced due to a threatening health condition at 37 weeks.
All mine were managed by hospitals and Tuesdays and Fridays were the days for two of them. Monday was a public holiday for my last child so the hospital booked me in for Tuesday and they never hesitated to remind me how busy they were and that I should labour faster because other women needed my delivery suite.
DS 39+3 Saturday Morning (labour started Thursday Afternoon)
DD 38+3 Wednesday Evening (labour started Wednesday morning)
Both spontaneous VB's.
There is still something to this. Given tides are goverened by lunar cyclees its not surprising that these two are related..
Maternity wards are still generally busier than normal on full moon.
My bubs were born on a monday (41+3induced) and a wednesday (40+3spontaneous), my brother (37w) and myself( 44w) were both born on Friday
