I always thought that homebirth wasn't for me, then with the birth of my DD i laboured at home for as long as i could and DD was born at the hospital 40min after we arrived. After reading your birth story and recalling how close i got to almost birthing at home makes me think that maybe i could do it. Your story is so empowering to read i imagine that feeling for you would be at least x10.

It definitely was an empowering experience for me - I'm so happy I got to birth the way I wanted to :) Homebirth definitely isn't for everyone, but if it was something you wanted one day, I'm sure you could do it! It sounds like if you had left going to the hospital for much longer with your DD she might have been born at home! hehehe :)
