Thanks girls for all your lovely comments.
Yes, I am looking forward to the day I can tell Maya how she tried to ride on my back while her brother was born. And telling him how I almost had him with my pants on...
This morning DD was sitting on the guest bed without pants on. She looked down at her bits, parted the labia, pointed there and said "baby". Only 2 and she already knows the facts of life....

Congratulations, Sasa. What an amazing story. You did so well - I can't believe how calm you were throughout as you told your mum what would happen. And how wonderfully you and Maya related as you were pushing him out! Really inspirational stuff :) Congrats again and enjoy little Daniel.

What an amazing woman you are. You must be feeling so proud of yourself and the beautiful way that you birthed your son. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your experience with us!

Thanks ladies!
I still think about his birth every now and then. I did like that I was able to stay active. I have to be honest, i also liked how there was no PAIN as such. Just a sort of intensity (I guess it would be similar, if you ran a marathon, not that I have ever done that). And of course I am happy I manage to have a happy and healthy baby boy without medical intervention.
BUT, overall, I probably prefer DD's birth. It was longer & more painful. But because of that I had time to actually absorb it. I don't know if that makes a whole lot of sense to you, but DS's birth was so quick that it felt llike it was over before it even began. It rolled over me like a steamtrain. I didn't have time to digest what was happening.
Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining and I would not want to change it. It was an amazing experience. It's just that it still seems so surreal to me.
