Awesome story Mel, congrats again, and welcome precious Eden!
Congratulations darl, yuo did an amazing job birthing your beautiful baby girl.
Enjoy your babymoon xo
Wow, Mel, what a tops story! You did so wonderfully to labour so long at home.
Your descriptions of the sensations (and your denial of being in actual labour!) remind me so much of Phoebe's birth - it's incredible! (Except I did have the ring of fire, LOL!)
I don't blame you for being afraid - it's what many people in the medical profession would've programmed into you. The point is that you DID have faith enough in yourself to have that VB - the fear didn't take over because you did birth your DD vaginally. So FWIW, my advice is don't stress about how you behaved during labour... I am sure we all have things we'd do differently in a perfect world (where childbirth isn't painful, LOL!).
So huge congratulations again on the beautiful birth of Eden. Enjoy her!
Mel, that is sooooo amazing. Thanks so much for posting your story. I hope I can join you in the VBA2C club.
WELL DONE!!!
I'm so freakin proud of you!!! You rock girl! You are strong and amazing and I reckon an inspiration for VBACers around you :D
Just look at you!! You have done such an amazing thing and you are still beating yourself up!! Fear is natural.... especially after all you have been through. But you did it!!
Thanks for the great story - had me in fits of giggles.... I loved it. I hope my VBAC goes just as well!

Hmmm biting DH - considering the height difference - where exactly were you trying to bite him
I am so happy you got your vaginal birth this time around, Miss Eden came out the way she was meant to, just like Master A & Miss M did.
What an awesome story!!!

PS, Love the name, very nice
What a wonderful birth story!! You did an amazing job! I must admit I had to giggle a few times while reading...I also tried to crawl away from the pain, LOL. Didn't work for me either, hehehe.
Well done Mel,
That was a great read. So honest.
I totally relate to what you said about wanting to do things differently if you could do it again. There are things I would do differently if there was a 'next time' too and just for that reason I would like to go again (not that my DH wants anymore).:
I'm not particularly proud of the way that I acted during labour, I wish I had kept more control of my fear, but the rupture element was quite strong, and took over a few times. If I had my time again, I would have not gone with the fear option and had more faith in my ability to do it.
You should try to be proud of your labour because that was the way you got through it (drug free!!!!) to birth your baby girl. The fear factor is a very big issue and you coped the best that you could to get the job done. For that I say well done!!
Your DH and midwife did a fantastic job supporting you and getting your head back in the game when things got too much. It definatley goes to show how important the right support is when it comes to VBA2Cing and VBAC in general.
Enjoy your baby girl Eden (love the name), the time just flies!!
