What a beautiful story, I agree you should complain about Nurse R, when I had DD2 my waters went on the floor and I kept crying and apologising and the MW was lovely.
Love the name too, if my niece had been a boy she would have been Levi.

Well done :D
Im so happy you got the birth you wished for :D
I had a mw up on the ward complain at me for bleeding on the floor (massive clot still in after a PPH) cos "the cleaners get cranky with mess like that". It made me petrified of the cleaners when they came in and i apologised to the cleaner profusely to which she laughed and told me it was her job and not to stress out. Sometimes they dont think, you have just had a baby, they need to have a bit of tact. Anyway, off my soapbox
Enjoy your little man :D
what an awesome story... and a horrid midwife... like the mess is your concern... thanks for sharing
That is so wonderful det, I have tears in my eyes, thanks so much for sharing xx
What a wonderfully inspiring story. You sure did an amazing job birthing your boy even with a nurse like that.
What a beautiful, empowering birth story Det! Congratulations, you champ :)
Can't believe I didn't comment. Weird. I'm sure I read it. Maybe I started reading it and got bored because it was so much better from your mouth, at mother's group, while watching the reactions of the other mums in our group
Such a great story, even 3 years on!
Wow Det, you've made me feel like I want to run into the birth suite and just get going. Amazing birth story!
