Should I go to the Doc?? Pre-Eclampsia?

    Hi ladies,

I have had an extremely easy and trouble free pregnancy so far, I am now 37 weeks.

I have a pain in my uterus under my ribcage on my right hand side, it feels like a muscular pain, kinda like the muscle is bruised from the inside. It is not unbearable pain, just a little more than uncomfortable. I would say I have had this pain for about 2-3 weeks now.

About 10 days ago my feet blew up like balloons, they go down a bit overnight but swell right back up after a couple of hours of being out of bed.

I have read that these two symptoms can be signs of pre-eclampsia, so I am a little worried, but I have had quite low blood pressure all the way through my pregnancy (last checked a week ago today and was normal to low).

Are these just normal kinda pregnancy things or should I go to get checked? I cant get in to see my GP until Tuesday next week and I rang the Antenatal Clinic and the hospital and I kinda felt like I was over-reacting....

    What do you guys think?

    Kyles x

    Hi Kyles
It does not sound like Pre-Eclampsia but if the pain has been unchanged for 2-3 weeks then this is a bit unusual. If you are unsure it is always wise to visit the doctor

Having been mis-diagnosed for 6 wks with PE - I wouldn't hesitate to see a GP, if anything, it may help to put your mind at ease if it turns out not to be PE...
