Riley still likes to put his hand down my top and just pat my boob or gently stroke it, I think its a comfort thing. A little boy at school last year (6 yr old) was standing patting my boobs I stopped him pretty quickly though!! (it wasn't in a sexual way but there are limits!)
 Same here!:
DS still sticks his hand down my top between my boobs as a comfort thing. I don't think it is unusual - the breasts are comforting. As an ample busted woman, many babies settle beautifully on my *cushions* - that's their job
I was talking to a close family friend (male) the other day and holding DS1 who had his hands down my top squeezing 'his' boobies (he is still feeding)...the friend just let out a longing sigh and asked 'why is it that these boys are allowed to grab them whenever THEY want?' His wife (one of my best friends) is still b'feeding their 15 mo DS so I'm sure he was talking about hers and not mine!!
Nipple tweaking I CANNOT handle though. Thankfully none of mine have done that so far.
DS finished BF'ing about 3 months ago (although he has tried to latch on again a couple of times since) and he still pokes and grabs my boobs. Particularly after we've had a shower, I dry him off first so he doesn't get cold and he will reach out and tweak my nipples. DH is teaching him to say "boobies" Sometimes, when I am giving him a cuddle to go to sleep he'll stick his hand down my top. I think it's a comfort thing.
i think babies and toddlers are naturally curious about their world.
anything in reach, they will play with - including breasts, whilst bf-ing.
sounds entirely normal to me Leesha.
the older my child got, i started wearing bf-ing tops, which means, now when we feed (she's just about to turn three), much less of me is exposed, so there is less temptation for her to play with the breast that is not being suckled at the time.
in our first year, i wore singlet maternity tops and lots of me was exposed when i bf her, so she had heaps to "play" with.
Yep, my DS is the same age as your DD and he does the same thing. He loves to touch my other boob and god forbid I have no top on and he has full access to it, lol! He will pull pinch and flick at my nipple! Usually he just strokes and pats it. I love the way he appreciates his boo!
Don't let other people get to you leasha, it's their problem, not yours!
There was that article a couple of years ago about the man who bf his kid, can't remember which country it was in, but the baby's mother died so he lactated and fed their baby. The article included a photo of him feeding her and she was tweaking his other nipple too.
I think it is a comfort thing too. Just think about where they get cuddled and where they rest their head when they are tired. Boobies are meant to be comforting, and to them they get extra comfort from patting and stroking. Jett does it now, and he weaned himself when I got pregnant again, but I always notice him doing it when he is upset or distressed in anyway, in a new situation or if he is just tired.
Aaah, the magic of boobies!!
DD does this all the time!! DH thinks its funny. But she keeps me awake at night cause she is always grabbing my nipples when she feeds!! OUCH!!
she does it when we are out and she is tired, hands in the bra before i can stop her!
A friends DD who i used to look after alot years ago who was BF till 2+ would stick her hand down my top when she was tired. At the time i found it really wierd and stopped her doing it, but now i can see that it was just a comfort thing and actually quite a compliment as she obviously felt comfortable and safe enough with me to think my BBs could be a comfort like her mums. :)
My DD does this with my belly button and a mole on my tummy. She used to do it with a small mole on my face or my nose, but that got painful and annoying! I wish I'd put a stop to the belly button thing too. But I think most littlies like to fiddle while they're feeding, it's just that whatever's closest at hand cops it!
So I wouldn't find it weird - but I might feel sorry for you if I saw it because I so understand!
Jack will climb up next to me on the lounge, lift my shirt and start playing with my nipple. (I usually go bra-less when not expecting visitors) I'll say to him "would you like a drink?" he then starts to giggle, jumps off the lounge and runs away
Also if I am getting dressed/undressed in front of him, he points at my boobs and just cracks up laughing!!
it wasn't until you posted Leash that I noticed. I almost always keep the other nipple covered cause I can't stand it being played with while feeding - a bit like nails on a chalk board. But I was holding him the other day and he was playing with my nipple, it was your post that made me 'notice'. He pats them and put's his hand down my top but it is a comfort thing.
On a side note LOL @ Jack Marlene - DS knows that it is bath, boob and bed and he likes to prolong the process as much, so I will ask if he wants 'boo' and get the nooooo response, I pat them and he smiles but says nooooo then I flash and he says no but he just can't resist them and starts to laugh/hyperventalite (ITMS) it is such a crack up.
Hmmm.....DS has taken to kicking my other boob lately! He holds his foot and just kicks away - sometimes it gets a bit ouchy too
Not sure how I should interpret that given everyone elses experience of the boob as a comfort for their babies. What's he trying to tell me?
not only are they a comfort thing they are also toys  DS kicks them, pulls them and tries to swing off them given half a chance
LMAO Marlene, Jazzy waves to my boobies and says hello when I'm getting dressed
I find it annoying sometimes.
Ach I hated when my twins did this, I actually resorted to tandem feeding them so the other breast was out of reach. It is just a natural reflex to stimulate let down though, but that doesn't change the fact it hurts!:shakehead:
