Is this normal or does it indicate a problem?

mine does this too... also pinches and pulls hair etc etc... lol

he now has a feeding teddy, only one of his teddies seems to distract him the whole feed :)

I should take a photo of the bruise ds gave me from his fist action. He grabs the skin the pushes in.

They are learning how to regulate the flow at this age, but aren't very coordinated (lol). It does get better but you might need to hold her hand until it passes.

The nipple pull back thing never ends though. Wait till she's a toddler and something distracts her, and she turns her head to look while boob is in mouth....ouch!

DD used to knead like a cat pretty much the whole feed. I think it's their way of keeping the milk going and keeping themself entertained.

same here. i got a $2 necklace toear and she payed with that. best thing ever!

The great thing about proper breastfeeding necklaces is that you can be guaranteed that there is nothing toxic in the paint (so they can suck/chew on them if they want) and that the string will not break and send beads flying around that little people can put in their mouth or choke on.
