How often is he feeding Danielle?
All the best with your plan :cheer:
About 3 hourly but I have to wake him
It's not unusual for them to be sleepy early on, and sometimes that means they don't demand very well. Hopefully waking him to feed a bit more often will give him a bit more 'juice' and he'll start becoming a more demanding baby.
Are there any times of day where he might be interested in cluster feeding? 10-12 feeds would be pretty typical at this age
He seems to like two feeds about an hour apart during the night, last night it was 2 & 3, night before it was 9 & 10 so not really clustering.
Right side feeding is only sore on attachment now (most of the time) and left doesn't hurt at all with the use of the pump. He had an expressed milk bottle yesterday and drunk about 100ml, is that about right? Takes me two pumping seasons to get that amount but not worried as I know he's a better pump than a piece of plastic.
I've made it to THREE weeks :-) never before have I made it this far. Thank you all you lovely ladies for your support and advice. 9 more days still we get to a month!!!!

Well done on your hard work!
Well done Danielle! It sounds like I have similar problems with attachment and now I have mastitis :( good on you for persevering!
That sucks ezymay :-( it's so not easy, so many times I've almost thrown in the towel and this week will be my greatest challenge with DH away. But so far I think I've gotten by by setting small (extremely small goals) last weekend it was until his tongue got snipped, which happened Wednesday, then the goal was to today. I've now moved it to one month. When things get to painful I've expressed instead and bottle fed expressed milk to save myself. But also knowing that if I do happen to give up then it's not the end of the world.
