can i just say i have a 4 week old and while i got support in hospital with BF, however since leaving hospital ive seen a pead and now my Dr about my little one constantly screaming and BOTH have just straight out told me to bottle feed, soooo much of breast is best cause drs dont support it
Im very disheartened as i really wanted to BF!
Goodluck with whatever you choose, i bottlefed my first nothing wrong with either, i just find BFing alot easier then washing bottles and preparing bottles

I am wondering if he has also become used to the idea that, after 5 kids, your boobs are still 'his' and he's not ready, at this point, to 'give them up', for an undetermined amount of time. And wondering if this may be a big part of his anti-BF'ing, without his even being conscious of it?
Not sure if he's a reader, but a book by Gabrielle Palmer called The Politics of Breastfeeding was a real eye opener for me, and has helped me deal with criticisms and myths far better than any other reading material has. Should be in your local library :)
Good one on the recent breakthrough!
Ya know, bottles are great for expressing into and letting your DH feed expressed breastmilk. Bottles aren't just for formula ...and when it's BM in them, require infinitely less maintenance and no sterilisation, just hot, soapy water ;)

That's a great start. Good on your husband for being a little lenient. Perhaps if it goes well he'll be happy to support you continuing at home. Make sure you use the LC at the hossy. I used to call them nearly every feed until i had the hang of it!
