My brother reckons they only got $1600 from the sale, and "the amount was debitted to my account". As in, I *believe* it was taken off an amount of 3200 I somehow owe them. So, to be honest, I have absolutely no idea!
And, I don't have any idea about the money either! :)
I don't mean to sound sold on the idea!
so jealous! How about Highclere - it's the name of the estate where the Queen breeds her Collies.
We both love this old house, and the Man has now seen another house for sale, in town (marginally closer to the kids' schools). Four bedroom, ONE bathroom/toilet. "Small" town block (compared to Storehaven!). Good shade trees. Its currently a rental, but would need Far less money spent on it than Storehaven. It is more expensive than Storehaven, but we wouldn't need to spend that "extra money" on the town house (*hopefully*). We would save fuel and bus money by staying in town. But we wouldn't get that lifestyle we are hoping for at Storehaven. There's room for all our toys at Storehaven, and only a normal garage at the town house. I see Storehaven as been quite a "once in a lifetime" thing, or is that just my heart speaking?
What do you all think?
I would still go for the out of town option! I love our old house and there is always things to do. Having land around you is the best feeling!!
Sounds to me like you are leaning towards Storehaven by the words in your post.
You just want us to get it so that you can watch our renovations! I am leaning that way, majorly. I guess I'm just trying to weigh things up (do they even need weighing up, or am I being my over-analytical self?). I have a tendancy to over-analyse everything. Storehaven will be SO much work, but surely at the end of it, when we are old and grey, we would be happier there?
LOL Maybe a little. But I stand my my comment :p
Only you can say where you would be happiest. Really, happiness will come wherever you live if you choose to be happy.
Being an accountant, if the end $$ are the same, and you think Storehaven would provide better quality of life, than it's a no-brainer, IMO.
store haven!
we moved from the burbs 12 months ago. walked into the house we're currently in and went SOLD! we looked at afew others. some closer to town, but TBH, we couldnt NOT be any where near town now. look at is as we did. if things fall over you can always sell and move on, but you can buy what you missed!
Id pick out if town.
But like others have said happiness is the key. money is money and truth is you prob find tthings to spend money on even in the town house...
sent via my vortex manipulator!
It's been really hard to talk to the Man about houses while I'm down at my Mum's, but I get the feeling he would rather get the 'town house', as yes its a bit more money, but it doesn't need as much spent on it, like storehaven. He said we will talk about it when I get back home, and I guess I feel disappointed that he doesn't seem as enthusiastic as I thought he was to start with (about 1, moving out of town, and 2, storehaven). He likes the town house, and when I asked him about it on the phone when we briefly spoke today, he already mentioned a couple of things that we could do to change it, improving for us, but still spending money nonetheless. I know I will talk to him when I am home again, I just needed to say that I guess I'm feeling a little down. Maybe about houses, but definitely because I am homesick.
