We signed for our house in April and have only just been told to come in and pick our colours and fork over $2000 to get it off to council for approval. That's a lot of time just spent waiting for admin people to do whatever it is admin people do, which I suspect isn't much since they only seem to do stuff when I ring them.
The most annoying thing is, until we've picked our colours (which is more than just colours, its tiles and floor coverings and door handles and cornices and ... and ... and) we won't even know what the house is going to cost!
