If you have had a previous c-section you can choose a repeat c-section if you like. It will be supported by any public hospital and not come at any cost. It's not considered to be "elective" as there are risks and benefits to weight up after one c-section.
You need to do whats right for you. Hope you feel better soon.

You won't have to pay anything if you're going public, as you've had a previous c/s. I had the exact same emotions you have, and at 36 weeks went from deadset no one can ever talk me out of it vbac, to holy sh*t look what happened to the last baby I had in me, get this baby out! Safe and sound. I had time to prepare, do a c/s birth plan etc. It was beautiful, and I don't regret it one bit. Hope you decide on something you are happy with xx

I had DS2 by elective c/s after vaginal birth for DS1 which left me battered and bruised. Both cost exactly the same at cabrini. All through my pregnancy i told everyone i had an "open mind" about how we were going to birth DS2, but as the date got closer, i knew i would be too scared to go through the same issues again. It was the best decision i ever made, and in hindsight, most of my anxiety was about what people would think. But you know what, it was what was best for me and what was best for baby. I was so much more confident after the birth, so much more capable (even though you are supposed to be resting) and so much happier in general. Think with DS1 i was one step away from PND due to birth trauma!
Do what is best for you and bugger what everyone else thinks. Good luck sweetie. Xoxo
