BG, could i clarify something:
As DH & I receive payment at end of fin year does this mean the $1000 wont be put into our bank this month? Do we wait till we claim. Can I ring them and get it paid now. I would like extra cash for Xmas.. (dont we all)... Thanks BG.

Yes Mel it is when you will be paid. It will show up on the online services 2 days (working days i presume) to receiving it.:

We're getting ours tomorrow as it says on centrelink's online services. So funny though because today our local shopping centre was having a centre wide sale and has it opening hours until 9pm. However i dont think anyone has received the $1000 per child today so the sale was useless and the shopping centre wasnt all that crowded like it should have been lol.
