i had fire relief payment processed within 3 days and in my bank 24 hours later. DH was the same. the fire disaster relief payments were processed very quickly due to the volume of people impacted - a lot more people were put on the processing team. it was an immediately declared national disaster i think. floods tend to take longer to be declared disaster areas and are usually at state level - they then take longer to process. usually within 21 days though
