OMG i have notice of my payment... YAY $900.... If you do centrelink online it should come up there. I get mine thursday with my usual payment

Ok so i have 2 kids 4 and 9 1/2 months. I get FTB A & B i'm on maternity leave but did put in a tax return last yr. DP also works (we dont even make $100,000 combined.)
So what do we get. I expected 2 lots of the tax payment of $900 didnt expect any from centrelink.
Also a friends of mine is a single parent with 2 (similar ages and circumstances) she also gets $900 for working does she also get $900 for single income???
whether you get the workers money will depend on whether you had a tax liability last year, NOT whether you lodged a tax return. if you, for instance, had tax witholdings of 500 and got a refund of 500 you didnt' pay any tax:
from what i understand (and i'm not going to promise it) the payments administered by FAO for single income family and by ATO for workers are stand alone payments - one is based on THIS financial year, one on last, so you MAY get both - but dont' bank on it - even FAO workers are still unsure
Lol NO chance of me getting thru 2 c link....I don't have a home phone so the only time I can call is on mondays when I go to my mums and I tried calling about 20 times and says they are too busy. Also they won't let me update DPs details cause im not him but he works 6 days a week so can't get to the phone that's why I sent off the change of address forms...lets just hope they got them!!

waaaah.. .still nothing for me. I KNOW we're eligible for $900 for FTB-B single income thingo. Aah well.. next payment is due on the 18th. Just looked at our tax returns.. DH officially earned too much to qualify for anything else :( aah well.. shouldn't complain that he earned too much huh. LOL.

Liz, it wont show up on your online services page till 2 days before it's due to be paid. I don't get FTB till next tuesday, so I don't expect to see it online till Monday at least.

I got mine today :D Was very nice to click bpay and my loan and enter those 000's lol
:crying: I knew they would stuff it up :( I haven't been in paid work since september and they know that, but it isn't showing on my payments, and I am supposed to get paid on Thursday. Very disappointed but for once I have gotten the hold music instead of the busy signal!!!
Donna - When you need to call them, do it in the evening, FAO closes at 8pm and all the others close at 6pm.
My FTB payment is due this friday...and sure enough this morning i log on and see that $1850 will be put into my account this friday...so like BG said, 2 days b4 your normal payment is due, you should see the bonus amoutn....:

BUT just wanted to know, if I am entitled to any of these payments and we do all the FTB B stuff at tax time (we usually do) then will they back pay these payments too?? BG, I can't remember if you've already answered this, sorry!
NOw even though it says 'back to school bonus' - from ages 4-18, your child must be in SCHOOL right?
I told a GF she wouldn't get that because even though her little one is 4, she only started Kinder this year, not school. That's right, yeah?
I've heard conflicting stuff on that Lulu - I've heard they have to be enrolled at school but i've also heard they just had to be school age ie 4 years on 3 Feb 09.
I have a 4 year old DD but she's still in preschool so I'm not expecting it, if I get it woohoo! but I'm not counting on it.
i read somewhere that you have to be in school...dont know where i read it though...:doh: it would apply at the other end wouldnt it too - i.e a 16 yr old whom doesnt go to school wont get it.....so i cant see why a 4yr old NOT at school would get it.....KWIM ????

Hollye, If your income estimate was above $20,000 for yourself on 3/2/09 then you will get it as a topup at tax time, if you earned less that that yourself over the FY (just been through all this on the phone) Adn I have discovered that to get through at the moment it is a bed time call to get them when everyone thinks they have all gone home ;) Don't worry, I was getting the engaged signal for months!! This is the 1st time I have gotten thru all year!!

It is 4 years, not if they are at school or not. Jaidan was 4 on the date and we got it. He is in Kinda.
Another girl I know has twins who are 4 but not in school till next year and she got it.
