I thought you'd had those tests already? Didn't the results come back low-ish but normal? Or have you decided to try the test again?:
Hopefully FF detects O soon. Given you're only on CD16 today, it could still be a couple of days away. You said in another post you O'd on cd18 last cycle so use that as your baseline :)
My DD has been up and down since 3.30am so your charts/history has kept me awake while I've been settling her, lol. I love charts, sadly I find it all so interesting!
I haven't obviously had the day 21 bloods done yet as I'm only on day 16 of my cycle.
I was just saying my fsh levels weren't the best this cycle.
So we shall see what happens. But quite frankly I'm a bit over it right now :( could possibly be that I'm tired and irritable from what's been going on lately.

Oh, are you having the test done each month? I was referring to the ones you had done last cycle (early March?) in my previous post. I've been stalking the various TTC threads for the past few months as I knew I would be joining the threads in March/April so I take a few interesting tidbits along the way incase I need help conceiving, hence why I remembered your post. I didn't know much about the cd21 blood tests and found it quite interesting. I'm very much a researcher!:
Anyway, good luck. I hope you O this month and get your BFP really soon. TTC can be very frustrating but there is a lot of advice and amazing women on BB to help make the journey more enjoyable

Although I'm very frustrated, I know people have been trying longer than I have. But now that the doc knows whats wrong, I want to get right on and fix it! I dont understand why they usually make you wait a full 12 months before ANY testing!
I've got a great dr I suppose. I found the men don't really look into things, they deem it as unnecessary. The lady doctors however, are much more sensitive to our needs and wanting to fulfill our status ad a mother.
To be honest, I feel like I'm a bit of a failure to my dh because I can't ovulate properly. My body hates me lol!
Up and onwards from here on in. Here eggy eggy eggy!!

Maybe have a look thru the ff chart gallery - it will give u a bit of an idea of what charts look like etc. I love checkin out the chart gallery - obsession with analyzing charts haha
Also, don't look at clomid as a bad thing. I have a friend who had similar issues to you, tried for over a year, then took clomid - bang! Preg first cycle!! So take it I say! Did ur regular gp prescribe you clomid? I thought only fertility specialists could do that! U must have an awesome gp!!! So hard to find good ones!

I want to jump in here and so that you shouldnt feel like a failure to your DH! I am sure that he doesnt think that about you at all. You now hopefully have a solution to your ovulating prob and I really hope that you get your bfp real soon :hug:
As for your chart, I think your temps look fine. Maybe a lil on the low side but that could be because you are temping under your arm?? I really think you should consider temping vaginally because there is nothing that you can really do to after the temp of your insides IYKWIM (unless you sleep with your legs wide open!! :cryinglaugh: )

:rofl: PMSL Ngala!!! I totally agree though. If you really want to see what your body is doing, arm yourself with all the tools possible! It will really help next month if you don't get your BFP this month. The more charts the better! orally is pretty reliable and don't sweat the small stuff, you'll still see patterns. I used a normal thermometer when TTC DD and it worked fine. I bought a proper BBT for this time round as the extra decimal place can help with accuracy but I certainly don't worry about how much I move before I take my temp (I sometimes take it to the loo with me!) and the time I take it varies according to when DD wakes. I've often had a restless (or sleep deprived) night due to DD waking. Temping daily, despite interruptions, is better than nothing.:
I'm sure your DH doesn't see you as a failure at all :hug: You've ovulated fine in previous cycles (at least you said you did) and you had a chem PG not long ago so your are ovulating it would seem. Why do you suddenly think you aren't? Like I've already said, your surge could still be on it's way (you said you O'd on cd18 last cycle, keep that in mind!) and remember, you won't see that O has been detected on FF until a few consecutive days of temp rises. Try to be patient hon, it all looks honestly good and normal at this stage.
Why has the doctor put you on clomid already? They seem to be jumping the gun too given you said in previous posts you've detected O in the past months. You have said the day of O has varied from month to month but hon, that is normal too! I can't understand what all the panic is about. I think you're doing just fine, you just need to ride out this month and keep charting and hopefully O will pop up on your chart very soon. It's so exciting when you enter that data one morning and BANG, O is marked on your chart. :lol:

Stalk away JM- I don't mind at all. I will take the clomid and next cycle I'm keeping up the temping and hoping to have more ewcm! As I've currently had none for this cycle and a little bit for the last.
And Ngala- thanks honey. You always know what to say to make me smile. Lol legs wide open. Haha. I don't know about temping vaginally. How far do you need to stick it in??? (sorry if I'm asking an ewww question.
Dh rang me today and said he forgot to tell me that when I temped this morning my thermometer was sticking out the side of my arm with the metal point just outside my armpit. D'oh! I wondered why it beeped quickly this morning. :(
Vaginally may be the way. Any hints ngala? Or is it possible to just change to orally. What if you move around too much before getting the thermometer and moving undies inside and inserting it? Wouldn't that make your temps more unstable? And ewww? What about temp during af?

See my post above regarding taking it orally. Switching to oral now will be fine. Your temps will just be more accurate going forward, that's all :D

I've had a fair few anovulatory cycles (as I've also said in past threads.) and my doc (she is also an obgyn) has put me on clomid because she thinks that I need it. She has spoken to my old doc and they both agree.
I'm just going to go with whatever they say. They are the trained professionals and I wouldn't do the clomid cycles without constant monitoring. So I am going to get a phone call telling me when I'm due for an ultrasound, and when to have my blood tests done. And I would never even entertain the idea of taking clomid unmonitored.
This clomid idea wasn't mine. I didn't want to go on it. I'd rather my body do it naturally. But that's not happening every month.
Anovulation Doesn't have to happen every month for you to be prescribed clomid. It has to happen and be documented (from what my dr told me) more than 3 times in at least 6 months ttc - and bingo... That's me. :( sadly.
ETA: Why do I feel like I'm having to explain myself to everyone? Why do I feel guilty for being prescribed clomid? :( hrmmm..... Down in the dumps.

Doh for the point sticking out from under your arm!!
I am not sure how for I normally stick it in cause I was always half asleep but I think about an inch in would be ok?? Probably the same amount would go in if you were doing it in your mouth. Moving around a bit before putting the thermometer in should matter too much, I normally wiggled a bit before taking my temp. And you only need to slide your undies across a lil bit to put the thermometer in. :)
I normally sleep on my left side so when my alarm went off I would grab the thermometer that was on my bedside table, move my top leg up a bit and then pop it in. I sleep in boxers so I had no prob with moving my undies but I don't think that would be too difficult.
And you dont need to temp during AF. I normally missed my 2nd/3rd day of AF and then started up when it was a lot lighter plus I rarely bled during the night so it wasnt messy at all.
If you are still unsure about vaginally then go orally but if you tend to sleep with your mouth open, then you wont get accurate temps. I am sure after a few vaginally done temps you will feel a lot more comfortable doing it. I'm not sure if DH will be home IF you start your new cycle but if he is not, then atleast you could get a few in before he is home in bed and wondering where you are sticking the thermometer!!
:hug: I wouldn't feel guilty about taking the clomid. Your GP obviously sees that the clomid would be beneficial for you to help you ovulate. You know that you do ovulate, just not all the time, so this will help keep it regular for you. I think you should go with what your GP has suggested and give it a few goes. You may only need to use the clomid once!! And as I see it, you will still be achieving conception naturally, you just need a little help to get an egg out!!
No need to feel guilty! If that's what the doctors said you need and you agree with their advice then you are doing what's right for you and your TTC journey :) No one is asking you to explain yourself, we (or me at least) are just trying to help you analyze things so getting all the facts helps to do that.:
Plenty of girls have had success on clomid so hopefully it works for you too. Don't be sad or worried about taking something to help your body along, we all need a little help from time to time. I didn't take medications as such when TTC but I did chart my cycles (and was very anal about it! :lol:), I used OPKs, Preseed and raised my hips after DTD so I gave my body a helping hand too and that's ok :)

I know this is hard and you have had a tough few weeks just to add that extra stress.
I think people ask questions so they can understand what is happening for you and to expand their own knowledge. We're all here to support :D I didn't know that they would give clomid if you have three anovulatory cycles, I just assumed it would only be if you didn't release an eggo at all...learning new stuff every day.
I know exactly what you mean about feeling like you're letting the team down, you and I have chatted about that before. :comfort: But we both know it isn't the case. You are doing everything you can TTC and taking clomid, if you do decide to go with it, is just another thing you can do.
About temping vaginally, I know it can seem a bit eww, I agree with Ngala, after a couple of days its not too bad. If you don't do it during AF, it shouldn't bee too much of an issue. I found that I wanted the more accurate temps over the potential ick factor of the way I was temping. You'll find after a while that you don't move about any more to temp vaginally than you do to temp orally. Just make sure you listen for the beep. I've had to re-test before coz I wasn't sure if I'd even clicked the thermometer on. :ROFL:
Try to relax and not worry about this for the next week, just remember to take care of yourself. And who knows, you and I might still end up with chrsitmas babies together.

Right... Vaginal temping here I come... Eek. Let's try explain that to DH lol he used my BBT thermometer the other day, I told him off! Haha he won't want to use it after I do vaginal temping. When do I start? Next cycle? Gah.

Although I can't do anything more to help my body ovulate or get pregnant for that matter ... I still feel like I should be doing more. :(

lol about DH using the thermometer after V-temping. My DH knows if it is in the bedroom or bathroom (where I sometimes leave it after reading it there in the morning) don't touch it!
I agree with JM though, it does look like an O dip. Watch your temps over the next 3-4 days for a better indication. Maybe your surge was only short and came last night. How did you take you temp today? Don't change to V-temping until the next cycle. I stupidly changed part way through a cycle and so I can't trust the chart that month.
