I have no advice about parties - our kids don't get them, we take them out for lunch and to the movies instead.
But from last year, dd1 got several invites and it appeared like they invited everyone.

urgh. the teacher wrote down some names for of kids DD plays with. DD asked me what the list was and i told her. "Nah, not them" she told me.
Are there many HotI that she talks about ALL the time, even though it may change are there certain ones she always comes back to?
I've been MIA so have a bit of reading to do, how is everyone settling in now it's nearly the end of first term?
DD2 has had a bit of time off this term, the fires, sick with croup, sick again on Thurs.
She slots straight back in when she gets there though and seems happy enough, will see how she goes after school holidays with going back to it all, DD1 got a bit funny after the first break but settled in with the teachers and things a week later.
