Centres should have a supply of spare clothing anyway.
The centre I worked at once did this too- but it was in a decidedly middle class if not lower socioeconomic area. Worked a treat. They had one calender week to return them before they were billed.... $5 is alot to pay for a pair of second hand undies lol...maybe suggest a clothing register like this?
What are the centre staff doing discussing another child's clothing issues with you anyway?
That to me, is quite odd... if not unethical.
It's kinda sweet for you to pack clothes for the girl but there's no incentive for the child's mum to do it if she knows you will. I've had to call parents to bring spare clothes to a kinder session because their child is wet or muddy and I've run out of spare clothes that we keep at the kinder. I've also had to put children in dress ups so they at least have something on.
It's not your responsibility though.
Mmm.... Bright Sparkes, I'm confused. Where does she think the clothes come from? Perhaps she thinks they belong to the childcare centre??
