Default colonoscopy for 2 year old

so tomorrow I am driving to Sydney for DD to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy to see if she has coeliacs or crohns disease. her paed gastro says he is certain she has coeliacs but just wanted to check for crohns anyway.

I have to start giving her bowel prep tomorrow at lunch time. she has just turned 2 and still in nappies. anyway has anyones little one ever had to have a colonoscopy? how did they go with the bowel prep? did they leak out of their nappies at all? I know what to expect as an adult but children are so much different!! I also have to make sure she drinks 400-500mls of fluid after each dose of bowel prep too. I got some gastrolyte just to help out but I don't know how I am going to go with getting her to drink so much!!! does anyone have any advice please

    thank you

I have no idea about any of that but good luck with everything. Normally I would suggest bribing with treat things like juice or milkshakes/smoothies to get the fluids in but I am assuming that she would be on clear liquids?

No real advice, just positive thoughts for you. I know pretending that the thing to be consumed is something my daughter likes, or is really gross, works for us. Good luck
