Eczema: What worked for you?

My bub developed eczema all over his body, face and arms at about 4 months. We went to the childrens hospital and they recommended a mild cortisone cream on his face (Cortic DS - over the counter), a stronger prescription one over his body (elocon) and to moisturise with QV intensive in a tube not a tub as you can reinfect the skin from using the tub. He started with antibiotics as the eczema was infected. This cleared it up and as long as I bath and follow this routine it is usually pretty good. He seems to have flare ups when I eat certain food (tomato), but doing the above clears it up. They also suggested daily bathing and creaming to ensure the skin is cleansed - plus bleach baths. Quarter cup of bleach in the water to kill bacteria then rinse in clean water. (I never did this as it seemed a bit to much for a little bubba).
I'm now going to a naturopath so we'll see what they suggest too.

Anyone tried hazelwood necklaces?

DS2 (19 months) has had dry skin/eczema on his arms, legs and torso since a few months old. It didn't seem to bother him, but after playing in the sandpit or swimming it really started to flare up. What worked for us is Moogoo soap in the bath followed by Nyal Eczema lotion sealed in with Sudocrem after his bath. Three weeks ago it had flared up so much that I started looking for something else to try and read about fish oil. Since then he gets one capsule a day in yoghurt and his dry skin/eczema has all but disappeared :).
