Oh dear :( We've just switched to soy as my boys can't have dairy.... I'm wondering though, the article referred to earlier only mentions soy INFANT FORMULA.... and the comparisons on that.... so would that whole article still be true to milk bought in a carton? as formula has many many additive in it, soy or cows milk based. *disregard that, I read further down the thread and another article was posted* hehe
Apart from soy and cows milk I am not able to buy fresh milk of another sort and am not keen on buying long-life milks (have seen rice and oat in the supermarket isle) we simply cannot afford to buy almonds, let alone buying them for milk (plus my blender just wouldn't cope).
We saw the dietician only last week who said that there was no research done on the affects of soy to the human body and that if it works for us then it can't be too bad.... FWIW it is working... one week of no dairy and I've already notice an improvement in not only eczema but also bowel movements and my boys temperament.

Early Kid, me too!
DD was on soy milk only for 1 week and she wasnt itching as much, switched her back to A2 and she's itching again. Not sure if its a coincidence but i think it is milk.
I will defiinitely push the docs for a test next time we see him and will probably go to another doc if he wont refer me! He thinks allergy tests are inaccurate and misleading.

I have just bought some rice milk for boytwin, memories of this thread put me off trying soy milk. He only has it in cereal so I'm not worried about the lack of nutritional value. Will see if this helps clear things up for him.

We've just switched to rice milk too, Tristan is fine but Brendan won't drink it at all. But that's ok :)
