Just to quickly update....
Things took a turn for the worst, after her bath tonight she started
Convulsing so a call to the ambo's and they checked her out temp was at
41 so off to hospy we go.... :(
She's been admitted because she had 3 in 25 mins which is a bit of a concern. It looks like a nasty case of tonsillitis :(
Temp has dropped back to high 37's low 38's.....
Hopefully she is better tomorrow
Just read back ,'thanks skybie for updating
oh huni....im hoping she improves soon huni. huge hugs xxxxx
Oh :( hope she is ok Xx
poor little poppet has a severe case of tonsilitis :(
but good news is temp is back to normal, or pretty close to, and we have been allowed to bring her home after she had a good night with no more temp spikes or fitting...
thank you all so much for you thoughts and get well wishes
:( Poor little poppet.
That would have been scary
Glad you are back home and I hope she keeps improving.
Poor Summah.
Hope she's feel better soon, crumpet.
Crumpet I just read the update. :( poor bubba. Hope she gets better soon. xx
Oh my god. My DD2 had febrile convulsions and it was the most terrifying thing. She stopped breathing and I had to give her mouth to mouth. Hers was due to tonsillitis too. You poor poor thing. You must have been so upset. I'm so glad she has improved. Thinking of you hun. Wish I could just give you a big hug. It's so awful!!! xxxxx
thanks everyone
she is doing a lot better, far from 100% but improving so thats all we can ask for!
its a very terrifying thing to go through thats for sure! not something i want to ever experience again :( they did warn us that she is likely to have it happen again so to keep our eyes out when she is sick next time.
the poor ambo's copped a hysterical mummy when they walked and when we were leaving becasue DD fitted as we were leaving the house for the hospital but they were lovely which helped.
how awful... i am glad she is ok.
a perfect example of how we should trust our instincts... what a great mummy you are!
hope she recovers fully soon and thats her last trip in an ambulance.
xxx
thank you x
