thanks Gudism!
Ok back to your prewash woolies question.
My LJ's are lanolising as we speak and the water is a gorgeous FLURO blue.... should i have prewashed after all??? Will they stain when on overnight with the wee etc???
:( :( Ali I think you just outbid me!!
I thinhk we need ot coordinate this ebay LS puchase otherwise we will both end up paying more than if we had have bought it new!! I only had $60 to spend now they are all over that! lol
LS - from watching for a few weeks.
MOst sell between 65-70 anyhow. You would be lucky to get one for under $60.
I can order you one from ABA... ill check the price but was cheaper than i paid brand new!!!
Acutally just checked. Even with my 10% discount - Still be $75 :(
Limey both of the of the LS I have bid on are still under $50. If I get both I will send one your way. If I dont get any then I will drive to natures cradle and buy one coz it will work out cheaper than paying retail and postage.
Just a quick post.
Had the scan saw a hb(120bpm) & i'm 6 weeks with a EDD of 26/3/09.
congrats trinity...
i am going for boy!!! lol
congrats mo!!!!!
Congrats Mo
I just ordered some Rainbow LJ's .....Katrina at Boorai i posting them for me today........now I must stay away from any nappy sites.....am waiting on L'js 2 b4b wins and a cute tooshie.
WOHB...still a sposie
Cheers ali!! :)
PP - yeah, Im not toohopeful about scoring one under $60 - will just have to wait for another months....my scraper is doing the job! lol
Gigi - I do prefer the narrow crotch nappies, as you know, aside from that though, anything I am willing to try. I have some fluffles, but they will be too small by summer (almost too small now really) and I am really not fussed with getting more of those. I want fitted really cos they are easy for DF to use. He can use the pickets and the AI2's but he cannot touch the microfibre (like the BumG inserts) - he has a similar problem to Christy with the minky, he cant bring himself to physically touch it, so I have to prestuff them all! lol
Looking preferably for something fairly good value too....Cannot justify spending $40 on a berry plush or anything :( So yeah, fitteds, any pattern any fabric, we dont have any reaction issues or anything so anything is a goer! But I do want something purdy to show off cos they are for summer so she will be nappy flashing quite a bit!
Oh, and I like aplix, she likes snaps lol but either or is ok - they will have a cover anyway so she only plays with it when she is bored :)
Thanks hun!!
BTW, I sent you a MASSIVE email yesterday, then as soon as I hit send my puter had a spas attack...did you get it or not? Realllly dont want ot have to type it all out again, but I want you to get your email!!
Mo - awesome news hun! I'm thinking PINK!!
have hungry child climbing on me...better go feed and then nap time!! woohoo!!
WOHB: BumG....about to be changed to....BumG!! lol
Who was asking about the sewn in itti bittis, was that Nelle? Anyway, I have both sewn in & snap in, and I much prefer the sewn in. I'm not really sure why, but I tend to use them first, then when they're all dirty, then I use the snap in.
I've been as sick as a dog since yesterday with the flu, so I haven't even bothered looking at the new BBH I got. Once they're prewashed, I'll let you all know how they go.
Congratulations Mo!! I hope you have a wonderful, uneventful pregnancy.
WOEB: pink bbh magicall
WONB: sposie - she's at daycare
I actually prefer the snap in itti's, I like being able to see the boosting. I have a feeling that there isn't as much in the sewn in.
I got the rainbow LJ from Booroi as well. They nice! Also got a discount code for my next order too :)
ok all you soaker knitting queens!
if i drop a stitch.. do i have to unravel everythign ive done and start again!!!
And how come i start witha cast off of 48 and i now have about 70?
i am soo doing something wrong i know!
Not all of the stitches are in a nice row hanging under my needle.. some are wrapped around and all over the place.
perhaps buying is easier!
(and can i say... the dogs barking next door again for almost 4 hours... so nice!!!! rahhhhhhhh)
Limey doesn't it suck now that you can't see the username of the leading bidder! I know in the past a few times I saw a name I recognised so kept away.
Mo that is a great result :D Congrats!
I have the snap in ittis. Haven't got any of the AIO's as yet. For those who have them how quickly do they dry? I love the snap ins because they dry almost overnight and I've never had to put them in the dryer.
ETA PP no! Do you have a crochet hook? If not you can still pick them up, it is a bit tricker though. There is a great tutorial on knittinghelp on how to pick up stitches that has saved my skin! Will PM you the link.
ETA x 2 Ummmm not sure what you are doing there to be picking up extra stiches. What are you trying to knit? is it ribbing or just plain stockinette stitch?
PP, sounds like you have been adding a few stitches here and there ;) It is possible to repair a dropped stitch, but it is hard for me to explain. I really recommend that you go to the library and borrow a book called 'Instant Expert Knitting' It will show you how to pick up a dropped stitch.
Keep practising hun, it will come. I have been knitting for about 10 years and only recently started prctising again and what do you know, I am making longies for a swap with a lovely BB member ;)
OK - update... pulled it all off and starting again (sorry NEss!)
Thanks Ali. i dont know where i create new stitches.. .perhaps some chocolate will help me
WOHB - BBB + purple PUL
