aw wow! when that happen!
this morning c/s are placenta was deteriorating
oh ok, my power has been out all day (again! ducking wind!)
yay Mel!
hope all is well!!! cant wait to hear the news.
Well DH said the longies were great (yay).....
2 nights of no leaks, woohoo! Had the fleece covers on the girls again last night.
How do you think they fleece covers will go during summer? It's very hot and humid up here during summer, will they breathe alright?
Mel's doing ok, considering. The painkillers aren't doing a lot unfortunately. And she's having major BB withdrawls!
wooho jodi! good for you with the noleaks!!
Any suggestions for a fitted bamboo nappy other than BBB?
For day? WC fitteds are bamboo & Microfibre.
For Night? WC Dreamy nights are Bamboo with microfibre.
LOL I am a WC fan so thats my 2 cents
eta - I need to motivation to lanolise my woolies. You would think having to wash my bed sheets would be enough but nope, I just can't do it LOL.
do you just soak in lanolin FJ?
And stupid question... lol... what is WC?? wild child?
Never know... might be knocking on your door for 2 x night nappies soon FJ!
Yeah but I also need to wash the llamajama longies she was wearing last night to bed. She didn't wear them as a cover, as she had a iish fly night nappy on & they are an AIO but it leaked.
My main lack of motivation is the fact I currently live at a max temp of 5 degrees & they just ain't gonna dry!
WC= Wildchild. As you can see from this photo, showing the entire first 2 rows (bar the mandy macs on the end) are wildchild nappies LOL
eta - see the problem I have is I snap for WC & get to see the new materials first & then just buy them rather then give them back when they are made LOL
lol FJ.
WOuld be hard to hand back!
DH put the longies over an AIO today... for her sleep but it didnt leak so all good. she has it back on.
WEll in qld my LJ's took 2 days to dry!!! so i hear you!!!
lol
THinking of laybyying another 8-12 BBB.... what do you think.
I have 22 BBB and 10 AIO pockets atm... i just cant see them enuf for 2? (plus my 20 prefolds and 10 odds and ends small MCNs)
WOHB - BBB +LJ
WOHB -

Liam has his longies on tonight! Just to make sure he is extra warm, he also has on his huggalugs & some socks!
He's also got the new GNST nappy on. It's very fuzzy! I would've got a pic, but he was grumpy & needed a feed & then bed... maybe in the morning! ;)
WOHB - GNST & longies!
Hi All
CONGRATS MEL!!!!
I neeeeeeeeeed to do some washing! I have been run off my feet for a couple of days and havent done my washing. So what can I throw in the dryer? I know all my boosters can go in the dryer, but what about fitteds? and fleece covers?
I figure what I am now saving on nappies I dont really mind spending a little bit of that sacving on running the dryer occasionally, and with the second car I am hardly touching my petrol guzzler so budget wise I am doing much better since the tax cheque sorted some things out and got us back to where we need to be.
WOTB: Sposies for 2 reasons, 1 It is night time and they sleep through, 2 I have no clean MCN and dont like using the flats especially on Em. I need covers for them before i use them.
Alioops -
fleece covers and PUL covers dry so fast, don't need the dryer.
fleece and PUL pockets dry so fast, don't need the dryer. (waterproof fabric)
fitteds and boosters and inserts and trifolds could use the dryer though. (Absorbent fabric).
Nettie - if you have a small night MCN stash, quick dry options like Ai2's (cover with snap in inserts or trifolds) and also fleece pockets with trifolds, can be washed and used again quickly.
Fitted night nappies take longer to dry (like Sandman and GNST), so they're good in a bigger night stash, but can be a drag, if you have a small night stash, cos then you're constantly waiting for them to dry.
FJ - i'm getting our woollies dry inside on the clothes airer (laid flat on a towel on the top rungs). we have a fan going on the clothes airer, plus the heater (when it's on for us.) i'm sure you face more challenges than we do, with getting washing for 5 dry, instead of our 3. i ahve become VERY creative where i hang washing, e.g the chest of drawer's handles are where i hang all the bibs and bras etc LOL.
Pink: how's your knitting going? got any pics in the gallery of what you're making?

Congrats on your dh seeming more MCN-friendly!
WOTBB: tiny bilby just "lost her dinner" allover her sleeping bag, so she's been washed and redressed for bed, in whizz kidz nightz and homemade bumjumper.
Two days at the hospy with my bestie's nb, cluck cluck cluck (i got to cuddle him heaps today!). His first photoshoot, in a minky mcn of course!!
CONGRATS MEL!!!!:hug::dance::clap:
Congrats Mel!!! Welcome to the world little Mehkelti!!
Now to christen all those beautiful nappies.....hehehehehehe
Please excuse my ignorance but is a bubbleJ a fitted? or does it have some PUL hiding in there? I know I am really vauge and I am the one that bought it, maybe I should have read the prduct description
Ali - I put all the inserts etc in the dry er together, then if I really pressed for time I put al the BumG's in the dryer - they can go in the dryer and get washed hot to, btw :) they dont take long, 1 by itself (if i need it stright away - i use them overnight double boostered) takes about 10-15 mins...the ony part that may still be just a little bit damp is the tabs (I think they are a different material to the main part of the pocket :)
As gigi said, your fleece covers will dry ina about 10 mins out of the wash, they should be almost dry when they go through spin cycle.
Also, the IB's I have go throught he dryer if need be, again, they dont take long, and you can put them on low heat if you are worried about them :)
Glad to hear you are in a better place with your cashola!
Gigi - lucky you with the newborn cuddles!! how awesome is it!! A friend had her son when DD was about 6 months old and I forgot how tiny they are! so soft and purdy....mmm *cluck* lol
