What do people think of the BG? Are their microfibre inserts good
WOHB - BBH +Wool cover
PP - the BumGenius? they are awesome! We love them :) I have the v2 so not the new ones, but they are great :) And I can evenuse them overnight with 2 inserts for Charlotte, which is great (not too many night nappies here! lol) and they are fairly trim too
WOHB: still sposies
love mine too though one the elastic has gone!
lime- thanks hun!!
i just bought 8 preloved for $60. i hope this is a good price. v2.0
And that is it!!! no more!!!!!!!!!! i just counted i have 60mcn's plus 20 prefolds.
That has to be enuf for 2 in nappies...

Umm also I am hating snoozywuns.... the fit is shocking on Annika.. I need to add more snaps (again thank god for snap press) or i get massive wing droop
lol nessa!

Imight aim to use the BG with #2 - mixed with the BBB
where do you find all your preloved ones PP?
:cryinglaugh: - washed in the sewing machine! ha ha ha.. am I the only one that caught this one??
Also - what's a BP?
Now.. off to see what's left of the itti bitti's... don't have one of those yet! ;)
WOHB - BBB & wool cover (think I need to properly lanolise the longie - it didn't really hold the wetness in. I only used a soap thingy I got from a shop that said it would lanolise - but I'm not so sure! The BB Wool cover seems to do ok though??)
I have used Epsom Salts to make things colourfast, the colour will run at the start but not too much.
Does it matter if I put fabric softner in the rinse when I am washing nappies?
no no no fabric softner!!!!
Thanks for the epsom salts tip!!
BP= berry plush
Oh dear Rivlas, Nelle's going to die when she reads your post! NO fabric softener ;) Of course, you haven't done it in the past, have you, you're just wondering for future reference :P Thanks for the Epsom salts tip :)
Rivlas - dont use fab softener, use your epsom salts!! Add them to the fabric softener dispenser adn a bit of water and it works really wel :)
Also, add some lavender or titree oil and it will smell nice too :)
WOHB: sposie....still!!
Janie, I'm pretty sure I've told Rivlas before that Australia says NO to fabric softener - but you know, I'm sure the mothers of astrophysicists still don't believe their kids about astrophysics, and mothers of chefs still don't believe their kids about cooking...they have to hear it from someone else. :P
Anyway Rivlas - Australia says NO to fabric softner. If you need any practice washing nappies without fabric softener let me know. ;)
(isn't the internet fabulous? I can be insolent without getting a clip on the ear)
Can someone pretty please PM me the discount code for the Itti Bittis? I know you can't use them with the discounted seconds, but it'd be cool to have just in case I decide not to get them from NN.
Haha Nettie, I only caught it because you did! Perhaps Gigi has a really special sewing machine! :P
Jols, the elastic has gone in one of my BG's too! I need to email NN actually, since they're the distributors...
Has anyone tried Cadbury's popping candy chocolate? It's fun.
I am madly washing nappies at the moment, we are experiencing something of a crisis since running out of sposies...what happened is, Riv was in mediums, then Si came so we switched to sposies while we sorted ourselves out, and now the sposies are gone, he's definitely a Large, and we don't have enough Large nappies! And Si is hogging all the one sizes...WAIT! I just remembered I have a pile of pockets that Riv was playing in the other day...phewf! That'll buy me some more time. :D
WORB: Waggle-wee Kids fitted, boosted with a bamboo trifold
WOSB: Sposie (I didn't know about the pockets then)
Hello all, long time no chat. have been trying to recover my house and family after selling our business :-)
Trying very hard not to run over to the itti site - so very tempting. Our latest addition is the BG one size AIO which isn't to bad (even for a velcro nappy) I'm loving AIO at the moment as I can't be bothered stuffing at the moment.
Also feeling a bit of a fraud as we aren't using cloth overnight at the moment:redface: Ari is a dreadful sleeper and we have decided to eliminate the cloth issue. Unfortunately it has made a big difference - only waking 1-2 times at night instead of 6 and it is nice not to have to change her in the middle of the night to help her settle. I'm hoping once she is out of the routine we can try cloth again.
Hope all are well, congrats to Cat on the birth of her little bubba and hoping to catch up with you all again soon.
NETTIE - LOL, i obviously have SEWING MACHINE on the brain!! i really really want one!!
SARAM - welcome back! moving house and selling a business, you sure have been busy.
AJP - purple and green - loverlee! love putting those two together
re the longies with dye running. ever since we started using longies, what i read in care instructions has said "always wash separately", so i have done that. Dye runs to varying degrees, but as it's in ONE of our buckets, on it's lonesome, no damage done.
Nettie - unless the lanolin is completely dissolved, like in BOILING OUT DA KETTLE type hot water, i don't get me no waterproof longies. But if i use the boiling water and ALL the lanolin dissolves - BINGO. Plus i got told to turn the longies INSIDE OUT before i dunk them. forgotten why it's better, but it is! (results wise).
a BP stands for a BERRY PLUSH. brand of minky cover that many clothies like to pat, alot! see the pretty embroidered ones at baby soft landing, nappy bucket, nurture nappies etc.
Beatrix- will you let me pat the yellow dlish? pretty please? I wish bilby suited the d'lish! i love those colours!!!
RIVLAS - is this Nelle's partner in disguise???? Rans???? Fabric conditioner and MCN - no can do. If you do that, Nelle will have conniptions and your MCN will not work. see ozclothnappies website, click on the FAQ to find out the real down and dirty on this topic cos i just can't be fagged to go look it up right noooow.
