hubby does not care about the nappies.. as long as he can do the nappies up he will be fine, so i best not ever leave bub with him when he has flanny flats on :P he won't be able to cope with a safety pin....

get snappies! thats what i have done .... yep no pins and DH's!
i found previously snappis didn't work too well with the flannelette :( i have some snappis here so will give it a go.. knowing him snappis will still be too hard :P
i want to get some of FionaJills "jack" nappies and some maz covers :D....
hey PP and katones...GET A ROOM you thread hogs  hahahahaha
They look fab huh!!!
I need to sell some nappies b4 i have any $$ for more lol
MAz - what are you doing in our thread! rofl!
I dont know hon..i think I got lost  hahahaha
I have to sell nappies aswell...my magicals :( they just dont agree with Mateauz...frigen frigen!!!!
I'll jsut be sticking to IB's I think...time to get larges soon :)
Maz - what size magicalls babe?? ;)
And for anyone wanting to buy FJ's nappies they are wicked on a newborn... kicking myself now that I only brought one!!!!
Oh It sucks to sell...
I am sadly parting with some smalls too :( i have 3 BP that just dont fit right on MJ and have decided to get rid of one a time.. just cant do all 3 at once :(
oh pooh Mj awake again....
oooh thanks for the tip Gudism :D i definatly want some of FionaJills for the newborn... might have to be real smoochy with hubby for a bit :P
tra la laaaaaaaa and the first load of post-holiday nappies is in the machine, can't believe I'm excited about that :)
Maz - Magicalls just don't suit Pip either, horrid things they are.
While we were on hols (and using sposies) we must have had a dodgy batch from NurtureNappies (ack) the bamboo ones - the tabs kept pulling off. AND they were $24 / pack!!!!!! I had to buy 3 packs of them, imagine what I could have bought with $75. I do think Pip prefers cloth, he was pulling at the sposies heaps. But that could have been the gaff tape wrapped around his tummy to keep the nappies on.
WoHB - zappynappy with BB PUL cover.
Katones, I used flanny flats for the first four or five months, and I didn't use anything to fasten them! You're right, snappis don't work on flannellette, nothing for it to grip onto. I hated pins though, and found that as long as I had a good cover over the top (eg Motherease Rikki or Eenees snib!), the nappy stayed folded in place with no dramas :)
QM, hope to see you tomorrow! I'll give you my NR tips if we catch up ;) Poor Punky, and mum, NR sucks big time!
I have just done my first nappy only load! I now have a stash big enough to fill my 8kg washing machine  with some left out! Yay!!!
Every other wash with nappies in it has had coloured clothes too.
Lets hope I have a decent excuse to buy more nappies soon! I think we might wait till 12 weeks with #3 to start spending money though after last week. I am getting through it now that AF is on the way out the door, she was a constant reminder every time I went to the loo :(
I cant wait to be able to celebrate a sticky one with you girls! Can anyone gues what the baby bonus will buy for #3? I might need blue fluff if I get my way!
Kaz did you keep what was left? I'd complain about that! You might get them replaced.
I crashed out on the couch lastnight and my delightful DH put the boys to bed. He informed me when I was stumbling off to bed at 9pm, that he put one of Masons nappies on Caleb and it came up to his armpits  He still doesn't reach for cloth to put on Caleb after almost 2 years
well i must have magic snappis as they grab onto flannels
i shall try the snappis PP maybe i have some magic ones too :P
lol - hey does coloured minky run?
was going to wash with some other clothes but thought... mmm will it run if it hasnt been washed b4
i have no idea PP i am lazy and have NOT yet washed ANY nappies... must get my finger out and start washing all of bubs stuff :)
None of mine ever have P
PP none of my coloured minkee has run yet.
WOHB bubblebubs
Thanks Girls! :)
Well Ashley seems ok this morning after her accident last night - i checked on her every 2 over night to make sure :P
I am excited there is a bit sun as it is nappy washing day yay!
Still waiting fluffy mail - hautes... cmon posty... prob not today as he has been already.
Then back to my shorties!
WOHB - MumsBums AIO
YAY I got fluffy mail! I ordered two of the pocket magicalls that were on spesh. I love how they're all bundled up, getting this parcel has made my day LOL. The blue is gorgeous, I hadn't seen one before.
Glad to hear Ashley is Ok. Did u send her to CC.
I have my nappies in the machine now and going to be a rush day here, DH got home at 8.30 this morning and I start induction for my new job at 1. Tried to keep Cooper awake until at least 12 hoping he will have a sleep with DH til about 2 so he can get some sleep but he was up all night and just come and got his bottle and hopped into his bed, thinking will get him up in an hour and he will still be tired enough to go back down well I hope anyway.
I scored a bargain on B4B 2 snoozywuns for $15 if any one interested in 1 let me know they are size Med.
A question for you....Cooper is about 12 kgs and I have a few mediums that fit him quite well (peapods, bubblebubs) His large BBH Aio seem big on him was thinking of going back to a medium but not sure he is 16 mnths now and running around every where and really quite small and am thinking with the extra amount of excercise that he is doing now he wont put on a lot mor weight b4 toilet training, would the medium do I have about 15 large thats all was thinking of selling 7 and getting the med. What would be your suggestion.
WOHB.....bubblebubs
Mel - she is at daycare tomorrow... steristriped and all lol... looks great
good luck with your new job (you didnt tell me you got a new one... or did you go back!!!)
pp....job is at Coles only 3 days a week, 2 when cooper is kindy and one weekend day.
that sounds better! more flexible for you and more fluffy money lol
melham... i work for coles to :D they can be a very pushy company.... i have been with them 11years :(
Katones....I know the manager, he is a freind of a freind and I told him that I will only work the days cooper in CC and either one day on weekend or every second weekend, he was mor than happy for me to do just those hours, I did say that if an emergency and they couldnt get anyone else call me I may or May not be able to help, I guess will see how it goes, If they cant meet my terms it doesnt bother me to stay at home until something that does meet my terms comes along.
Wohb...BG
at least now Melham you will have more dosh for fluffies :)
I have just started my maternity leave.. but i will be paid until the end of October (after bub is born)
You know what mum did today? (while she was over taking the kids to playgroup cos I'm a bit sick) She put one of Riv's Itti Bitti D'Lishes on Silas - a Large! And it didn't leak! Those crazy Itti Bittis.
Janie - Would you believe Punky & I turned up... but nobody else did.... Know from Sarah now that it was at a Cafe but I didn't know that this morning when we were hanging around like degenerates lol. Oh well, I went shopping instead - bought wool & am off to that knitting site Sammi recommends for my 100th attempt at teaching myself how to knit! We'll see you next week, hopefully sans NR.
Janie I love how the magicalls came bound in string like that! I almost didn't want to untie it :D
WTG on the suprer itti Nelle!
Yay QM hope you work out the knitting! It's a great site to learn from. If you need to know anything come over the the knitting covers thread and ask away. It might get lost here ;)
Do you ever have days when you stand at the laundry door for too long trying to decide if the sun will stay shining long enough to justify pegging out the washing? I've got to get a life I think
 Raven, I think we all need a life beyond nappies LOL. I'm so glad I'm not the only (crazy) one to get excited about the wrapping of the nappies :cryinglaugh:
QM, would you believe that I turned up too not knowing it was at the cafe, and I was almost home again when Sarah called me back to tell me where it was LOL. So I turned around and joined them. I only just got home!!!!!! We stayed for awhile, chatting away, and the kids had fun playing on the equipment :D You know, I did think 'oh no, what about QM!' but it was too late, and as I don't have your number I couldn't call you to let you know. Sorry hun!
Melham, my DS is a bit over 10kgs, and although he can still fit into most of his mediums, I can't use them because he out-wees them :( It's a bit hard to know whether you'll need your larges or not. If you decide to sell them, let me know ;)
WOHB: ****, a BG that's been on for four hours OOPS! Got a bit carried away while we were out and about  *runs off to change nappy*
Janie - I forgot to ask you - what did you think of the BumG's?
(oh and there are lives beyond nappies??? Wot tha????)
Someone did something very noisy in their pants... I'm not sure I'm ready to discover it, I've only just eaten lunch....
WOAB: Sposie (at MIL's - she doesn't like cloth - tells me they leak. change them then turd head!!! Grrrr)
WOMB: Flat
It's great hun, it's been sent back to you now...........thanks again, you're a doll :)
lol
girls look at this

I tried to see if DD will sleep outside her cot - so put the mattress on the floor (getting ready for a big bed) after 10 minutes of crying and her bashing on the door it went silent. so i went in to see that she was ok and couldnt open the door..
i know i know not MCN related... but you can see her in her shorties does that count?
Ack, I know what you mean Sammi :)
I'm going to Bunnings to buy some of that cafe-vinyl curtains stuff to put over the verandah so I can dry my nappies ;) My poor little fingers froze today when hanging out, wet nappies + cold breeze not good. I swear it was sunny when I went downstairs to get the wet load, and now it looks like there hasn't been sun in years :( Nor will be again.
And his little cloth bum is back in CC, so glad to be back on a proper diet, cause his poos have been horrid cause of the fast food on the drive back to Melbourne.
WoHB - dropped him off in a funtimes GK, he's now in flanno @ CC and will either be in a minkytimes (giraffe) or HH cow print when I pick him up ;)
PP - gorgeous photo!!!!
PP that's cute - poor little mite!! DS is on a mattress for his day sleeps, but back in cot at night.
that is what i am thinking of doing... as that is how they sleep at daycare.
not sure if to just take the cot out or alternate. i realy dont want to confuse her
We aren't taking it out yet. We didn't think it would confuse him, he's been on a mattress for day sleeps for 4 months now. We only have him on a mattress here cos I'm not supposed to lift him up for a few more weeks.
Kaz - I so want a minky GK....:(
