Mo3 - re: the taking off of the nappy it must be a Seb thing - my DP likes running around nude too ;) (Although, I will point out here that my DP doesn't wear a nappy :rofl:). Hope his little blistery balls heal up soon, poor munchkin.

Kitt3n - go the enabling DH!! They're the kind we like. I was saying to mine today that it's such a shame that Euan's growth has slowed down so much as he's not going to need new nappies for a long while yet. And lo and behold, I think I detected a slight rolling of the eyes...

No nappy news here... We're off to a birthday party this morning, oh what fun! Although we're going to be late because it starts in 15 minutes and Euan is asleep. In a Lotus AI2. Which hopefully won't leak, he wets through them pretty quickly now.

Hi All -

Just a quick message! James and I arrived home from our trip to the states at about 9am Tuesday morning and one of the very FIRST things I did was get his bum back in cloth nappies! I HATE disposables!! That is the longest (26 days) he has ever been in sposies full time and I'm over them!

I don't have much cloth nappy related to report except that a friend of mine gifted me with a bunch of her MCN after her son potty trained and I'm STOKED!! Alas, that means no need to buy new nappies but at least I have bubba #2 on the way which means I can dig out all my newborn nappies and pat them and drool over them!!

Pregnancy is going well and my nausea seems to be slowly improving already which I'm pleased about. Being home and better able to snack or eat small frequent meals really seems to be helping and I've started drinking more water as well.

I cannot even begin to try to read 13 pages of posts so if I've missed any other big news I'm so sorry!

I shall sign off now as I have a day off today and I want to make the most of it. DS is at work with DH this morning and then this afternoon they are going to play in the new 7ft x 7ft sandpit DH built him while we were gone and then wash the car. I get to enjoy lots of time off so while they haven't been at the house I've been doing stuff here I need/want to do and when they get home I'll head out to the shops for some window shopping and maybe I'll get a coffee or something with a girlfriend!

I hope everyone is well and now that I'm home I'll be able to catch up on here more often!

Anyhoo - a BBB with the extra booster in a trifold on the outside seems to do her.... can't wait till she grows into the snoozywuns!!!! (will be an excuse to buy more. hehehe)

Jodi- TBH I did everything I have my RSA and cert 2 and 3 in Retail but Im gonna have a hard time explaining the year off work (dont want to put my last job as my boss has a crush and she has stuffed jobs up for me in the past thinking I woodnt leave because of it :rolleyes:)
DP has got discs out of place and has headaches for DAYS cz of his neck and back (all because his stupid job made him lift things waaaaaay too heavy purely cz hes a big guy :wall:) We dont know when hell be able to work again as he cant stand for long periods of time so were hoping he finds something casual and Ill have to find something I just feel like Ill miss out on time with Aiden.
Suse- are you magic?? I need a xmas miracle lol was Euan good for you on Friday? (the after needle day)
Kitt3n- Im so jealous I am always informed NO MORE but I think itll change once he starts doing the washing :lol:

Gigi - DH hasn't uploaded the photos yet, and we've sorta misplaced the camera. But I have a cute photo from yesterday in his widdlewun we took on Dad's camera, will try to get it uploaded tonight.

Went to see santa today, not a good photo. Lots of tears :( But we had a very patient santa, am going to write to Myer to congratulate him.

Another of the mums from my IRL MG is coming to the same CCC! But (and I can't believe this) she doesn't like cloth, so she'll be supplying her own sposies to use during the day :doh:

kaz - we had a shocking santa photo as well. I wrote into our shopping centre and congratulated their santa on being so patient.
If I had to supply nappies to our daycare, I would definitely take cloth. What a waste of money taking sposies in.

rhyb - If it is work related, then I would definitely be looking into workers comp. I sure do hope he recovers quickly. If you have experience in retail then you'd fit right in at DFO that's just opened. They are a heap of jobs going there I noticed when I was shopping there the other day. Put on your resume that you did some traveling in that year off, then had a baby.
I've been putting Emily's needles off for 2 weeks now lol. The first week we had a funeral to go to, so I rescheduled to last Friday, but I double booked with my hair app. At this rate she won't get her 6 month needles until she's 1 lol.

Jodi - Pip's now 1 month overdue for his 18mth ones, they say they can't be ill for these ones :(

WoHB - from all that grunting - something smelly I'm sure.

with nappy sizes sophie is 11.7kg at 25 months still in mediums, only larges she wears are ittis but fits mediums as well, BG and blueberries are still snapped down! i have a string bean here!!!

Well let's see... Ashton is my first cloth bum. He was big when he was born at 11 pounds (5kg) so he went straight into small nappies.
First up we used mainly cute tooshies BD with a pul cover or woolies. Also BG osfm and BBH/BBB which we LOVED.
He then got a reaction to synthetic liners, mainly suedecloth, so we have had to resort to using just natural inners until I can sew up some cotton velour liners (sometime in the next 50 years) but have been slowly introducing microfleece liners which a lovely friend of ours Bec sent :)
Our favourites would be Wild Child bling, CTBD, BBB (our workhorse nappy) and the new minky magicalls (LUSH!) also Mirabai and Bisy Bee are right up there! IB D'lish are usually what we grab for a quick change, so soft!!
At the moment we have 110 nappies... not every brand but we are getting there. (I have a post in my blog with all the nappies lol)

Where on earth is everyone today?

One of my Bamboozles is literally disintegrating. :( I've been getting insane lint on all of my nappies for the last couple of washes, and thought that I'd accidentally dropped a disposable wipe in the wash. I don't usually use them, so I couldn't think of any other reason why I'd all of a sudden start getting masses of lint. Anyway, I took a Bamboozle off the line today and no jokes, most of the terry has just vanished. It's not happening to any of the others, just the one, but it is absolutely useless now. How bizarre.

Oh, and I think that DP chucked a pooey nappy in the bucket this morning and forgot to LS it. I took all of the clean nappies out of the machine and found a little heap of sultanas and corn at the bottom of the machine. Eeeuuuw.

I've been at the Melbourne Xmas meet-up, and I'm only here now coz I made DP hang the washing out so I could sit and veg for a minute. And it's weird to talk to yourself, apparently...
Shame about the bamboozle... I get lint on everything regardless. I swear my washing machine makes it and sticks it in the tabs of all my pocket nappies...

Eww Suse. We had a laundry poop occasion as well, delightful dh had just chucked a runny poop in the laundry. No even trying to scrape or rinse. Just the whole thing, undiscovered in the laundry for a couple of days. I just threw it in the laundry trough and put a load of washing on, to let that rinse it first...then it was okay to deal with, but honestly! Husband? Brain?

Okay, I was going to type another cloth-related whinge about dh, but I think one's enough for today. Let it just be said that he is not in my brilliant books regarding housework currently. (To be fair, I'm not in his good books either. :p)

I have a really gross story about sultanas.... I picked one up off a friends floor and... it was from the other end! :lol: My poor friend will never ever live that down!!

We've been out at a BB meet up today, it was nice, but exhausting... I'm a little bit burnt, and Matilda is WAY overstimulated, but other than that we are all good.

Well Pip's willy is shedding. Is this a standard boy thing? And when I say shedding, well, its like sunburn peel. Quite disturbing for me, and DH can't help me change a nappy without serious wincing ...

Wish we could have been at the meet, I had all my nappies all packed and ready to go :(
