Arimeh - yes, yes, and yes! I will see what I can organise. Technically, I'm going to be closer to the place that I dont want to name, it's worse than Nambour-ing even, starts with G... has cowboys... between there and Melbourne In Shorts (Noosa), but I will do what I can. Will be back here on BB in a few days and let you know!
maz - coming up, luv!
kelly - I hear ya! stay cozy in that cave. It'll all be over soon.
I really should be cleaning out my fridge... blahhh... my stash looks pathetic and small when it's had all the life sucked out of it. Sad.
-
Ok now I have 2 yr old with the squirts! Oh well at least I can contain that to a nappy!
-
Ah man FJ I feel for you, gastro is THE worst :( I hope Iain and yourself dont get it.......Btw I love your ticker pic, he looks like such a happy fellow!
-
Okay, in admist the 2 yr old tantrum and the FIL tantrum for leaving 2 yr old in time out and ignoring his screaming and crying for TWO WHOLE MINUTES I had a chance to get into the cupboard and count my OSFA nappies that can be included in my stash for bubba #2! DS informs me he will be ready to potty train when he turns three!!
Anyway, so all up this is what I have...
13 OSFA nappies (mostly BBH hemp and BBH bamboo, one nappylicious and an Abby Gro)
19 NB/SM/MED nappies (mostly WAHM with a few others sprinkled in)
24 cotton prefolds
4 x XS PUL covers
2 BBH PUL covers (1xS and 1xM)
7 Bummis Super Whisper Covers (1xNB, 2xS and 4xMED)
4 Mother-ease Air Flow Covers (2xS and 2xM)
1 Fleece cover (MED)
Plus the 12 PVC covers which I will keep for now and trial - if they work I'll use them for daytime at home if they don't I'll trash them!
I am watching an auction on ebay at the moment for 10 Cheeky Butts that I have bid on and been outbid - what would be a reasonable total bid for them? I'm just wondering if I should soldier on and try to win them or if I have enough???
I forgot I have three MED peapods and a few other MED sized nappies that James has outgrown and I'll be able to use for bubba #2 - just not sure when so may be getting ahead of myself here.
ARIMEH -
I'm afraid to put anything with PUL in the dryer... how long would I put it in there for? I'm afraid that rather than seal it I would melt it!! I would cry if I lost that Happy Heiny too - it is cow print and I LOVE it!!
WOHB: some Canadian AIO who's name escapes me at the moment - they used to sell on ebay ALL the time!!
-
lilp - i put my PUL nappies in the drier fine on warm.
PUl covers i will hang in the laundry while the dryer is on :) also do this with my PUL pockets (ie no filling)
-
Heidi - I use the dryer on low regularly. The only pul that had lifted was dodgy pul. if the care instuctions on the website say tumble dry low or warm and you do that and it lifts then email the seller and say you are following the care instructions to the letter and this has happened. Then you will be fine I reckon.

-
Maz - is that the paradise resort you were talking about? we are heading up to the gold coast in feb, and we were looking at staying there, it looks so cool for kids! We ended up booking somewhere else though, cause I think Tahlia is still a bit young for it
WOHB - sposie:redface: need to get all the nappies off the line. me thinks I need to buy more, cause when the weather is not so good I am running out!
-
Ali good luck with your Chrissy shoppping it is crazy out there!
Kmart have lost our layby - full of DS b'day pressies for Tuesday ! EEEK
Nappies are washed at last. MEt a lady at lollipops yesterday who commented on Aris SB eco nap in summer swirl - have to say it is one of my favs!
Got a new BG OS AIO today that I had forgotten all about and our chrissy cover! woohoo, not exactly fluffy mail more like fluffy hand delivery :-)
lilprecious - I'm a horrible eco mama and put my nappies in the dryer quite often on hot (only have hot and warm and warm takes too bloody long) and my nappies are fine! Usually though if it's a PUL problem it would have happened from day dot. Happens a lot with Baby kanga's as the needle holes from sewing are quite large. The leaking is probably from the inserts moving like mel said. I would try using a different type of insert (maybe a big bigger) or different fabric. Could it be because he is peeing more in summer? I know mine is! She wet right through her SB today in about 1 hr.
All this bling talk is news to me, have to go window shopping me thinks.
Fj - hope the gastro doesn't go right through your household
-

Maz...what is this cat in hat business?? i think we need a piccie of this masterpiece ;)
-
Ah cant now Kat - little monster boy has finally crashed!!!! and there is no way I am entering THAT room.
Suse - sounds like aplan BUT I need to get away from Jed aswell...he's driving me banana's atm...must be getting his rags I tell ya's
Mo - it is so lovely to see you again woman. Dont you dare run away again.
Fiona - are you alright now? have you gotten sick? Shiat woman..give that darling little girl a kiss ont he forehead for me
Well dame it. Im pi$$ed. I tried to book into that paradise place and they dont have an adequet room for us. :( they have 2 ajoining rooms BUT both rooms have doors that go out into the hallway of the resort...not a great room for a 3yo (by that stage) and an autistic boy to stay in. they have nothing else. I am fuming....lucky that we dont need a wheelchair for Mateauz then isnt it!
So it look slike we have to find somewere else thats great for kids and takes a 4 kid family. friggen dame it!!!!
-
Maz - can you ask them to keep one door locked! We have stayed in ajoining rooms before and they just don't unlock the second door - I guess it depends on the locking system OR there is an awesome caravan park I think it is called the big 4 and they usually have playgrounds and stuff! Cat in the hat sounds cool
