Kat - heh it's so hard to try everything out, I understand :) I have a few in my stash that aren't getting used much cause I have brought something else that I like much better.
Just out of curiosity what size IB's is your little man in? I need to buy some more but unsure if I should get a couple small and a couple medium or all mediums.
Ecobubs are pretty cool I must admit. Both the mediums and larges fit DS fine.
On the subject of sizes - laura - if it helps at all - Miss M is still quite comfortably in a small IB
ll ~ jack is in mediums....never bought small IB's i want to buy afew more BUT i think i should buy some large IB's...
Hello! Newbie to this forum... I'm slowly browsing through many of the mcn sites and wish I could have one of everything!! How can you possibly decide what to buy? I doubt I will be very good at posting regularly - I never am. :oops sorry! But I will try.
So far I have 12 bambino mio prefolds + 6 covers. These were so cheap that I figured I could start there. (Unfortunately, now DH thinks anything more expensive is a waste of money!!) My girls spent yesterday exclusively in these and I'm in love with cloth! I quite like these but find them a bit bulky. I'm hoping I can find something a little trimmer.
My sister is giving me 4 tots bots AIOs yay! free nappies!
and I have just ordered 4 baby beehinds AIOs with the pockets.
BUT there are soo sooo soooooo many to choose from! So hoping to get lots of good advice from everyone.
A couple of questions:
How many nappies do you think I will need for twins? I was thinking 10 a day so if I have 30, I can comfortably wash every other day?
What do you do to stop your nappies getting all messy at meal times? It's so hot that my girls are usually just in nappies during the day and my nice new covers now have banana stains on them. :( Is it ok to soak a PUL cover in nappy san?

Hannah I would say a bit more than that. If I want to wash every other day I want about 30 and that's for one baby. So maybe 60ish? Also depends on where you live, the weather and if you use a drier.

ll80 - matisse is fine in the wool covers, i havent even lanolised them yet...only have one at this stage, the Babybeehinds one, waiting on my loveybums one :) as for ittis - i have 5 small, and she is on the largest setting. SO she will be into the mediums very very soon... i have 8 of them

can anyone tell me what the inside of a bubble bubs meduim ?? is the boosting any good ? i bought a small off B4B and wasnt quite sure what to think of it .. the nappy was very trim. didnt feel very absorbent and the clousre was velcro , is that right have they changed them at all .. ??

Bubblebubs med are so much better than the smalls. I hated the smalls, they fit so nice but Ash would wet through them in the blink of an eye. We have a med with snaps which I love!

Lea.....lodge a dispute with paypal over iishfly...don't wait for them. She has done the same thing to several people I know on several different forums and they have had a bugger of time getting money back......word to the wise...think very hard before you buy from iishfly and if you do make sure you use paypal so you have some recourse if they don't turn up....great nappies....absolutely disgusting customer service!!

have you tried Punk with NO SYNTHETIC next to her skin?
eg microfleece liners are 100 PER CENT synthetic
try cutting up old flannelette sheet or shirt, 10cm wide x 60cm long
fold long bit over twice, so you get a double layer effect
well however long a punky type of gal needs it, but that's the genral idea.
other idea of ine is to make cotton velour liners, also double liners
and if you had it, i'm sure bamboo velour liners would be great too
so you have natural fibres (or very close to it) next to her skin
and you could try resting synthetic covers (PUL, fleece) adn have punk in just natural fibre fitteds around home, with a woollie on top when you need waterproofing.
nappy rash is such a big deal. so many things to try out, investigate possibilities - unti you work out what is irritating YOUR bub's skin. Very distrssing to see them sore isn't it hon?
