Cloth Nappies #160

I don't change Ash over night, with the exception of 3 times this week when he has decided that between 3 and 5am is a good time to poo :doh:

Anyone else here absolutely HATE the feeling of microfibre? I have a nappy which is MF insert and I just can't touch it... it's weird... makes me want to vomit.

Well I officially give up on rollicking rascals. I have one which I have used every now and then in the hope that it is something I am doing, or Ashtons shape... but it's just the nappy. EVERYTIME I put it on him it leaks, poo everywhere all over his woolies yesterday, wee all over his pram the time before. Poo all the way up the back the time before that. I just give up! I haven't had a leak in anything else, just this nappy.

Pocket nappy - For a cheap one I use peapods. I haven't had a leak or anything in them yet, I even use them overnight occasionally :)

Well all my nappies are washed :D all the clothes are washed, and I am relaxing today. Going to do some welding in a bit, got new exhaust and extractors for the car and Im helping put them on yay :) I love car stuff.

Hmm so how would one go about learning the art of 'tact' on a forum?

Whoever was talking about panadol stains... I use dymadon, used a bottle in the last fornight for teething too! No stains :)

Missy Mel - I have no idea, I just try to read everything in whatever light I can image someone reading it IYKWIM.

I think I might have to beg DH to do some nappy washing today. He is feeling much better.

Ok ladies, I have some Happy Heiny pockets, what can I stuff them with? Do they HAVE to be HH boosters or is there something cheaper but better.

I use my magicall boosters and my peapod trifolds to stuff everything :)

as for microfibre..we cant use it...it reacts with my kids bums something fierce!!!!

Anna - you could always stuff them with shiat...only joking....anything really...get some bamboo and make your own trifold for them hon

What would be mor absorbent for boosting, hemp or bamboo or cotton or microfibre prefolds?

I dont have alot of spare boosters to stuff the HH with BUT their for the big boys so need something long enough to fit a large nappy and absorbent enough for them.

Also any yays or nays for monkeydoodle swim nappies?

I know I said I wasnt going to buy any more MCN related things til Feb but with all the sale's on........its so hard to resist :lol:

ETA - Maz, ahahaha I cant even sew buttons on my dear. One day I might take a sewing class for fun, but dont have alot of fun time right now so it'll have to wait. I dont have any special talents, have to be like THE only person on BB who doesnt do something crafty.........

Yes, I loathe the feeling of microfibre too. When I first started using lots of MCN with it in them (mainly BumGs) my hands just used to dry out so badly. I was using gallons of moisturiser and still my fingertips would crack. Orrible stuff... but it works.
Maybe if I used Dymadon to get the panadol stains out of my BumG inserts... now thats a stupid idea isn't it? :)

Anna - I stuff my pockets with the brands inserts. Cos I figure, they've already done the measuring up for me, and I don't have to wonder.. hmm.. will this one leak, have I stuffed it correctly etc... the only different one that I stuff is I put a GK bamboo in with my blueberry cos DS pees through that insert within 10 minutes and I got sick of it leaking on me.

Oh - and I'm also not crafty - in any way, shape or form - so you're not alone.

Second oh - monkey doodlez swim nappy - I've got one for DS. if he does a pee it runs straight down his leg - its just on to keep the poop in if he does one ;) Also - for some reason, the pee runs out but it keeps the pool water IN the nappy - most bizarre - so he walks around looking like he's done a huge dump in his pants - and its water!

NAH i was asking about NUROFEN..wether that is going to leave stains....

katones the stuff that makes the stains is sorbitol its found in panadol and dimetapp etc.. but not nurofen hope that helps!

ahh ok sorry Kat. So much talking in here I forget what I am posting!!

Gosh what a day!! I am buggered. Ash exploded in his WC nappy JUST as I left the house so I had to high tail back inside to change him (lucky it was contained to only the nappy) which made me miss the bus, so I was walking to the shopping mall (which is a good 40 minute walk) and realised I forgot my ventolin puffer. So I txt DP and asked him to bring it to me so he txt back "don't you have one" so I cracked it, OBVIOUSLY I don't have one otherwise I wouldn't be asking, geez. There I am, walking back home can't breath and fuming that he wont bring me my puffer and the jerk drives past me! I called, not picking up so I txt you drove past and he txt "I am going to my mums to fix the car, your in a mood" :crying:

Would YOU be in a mood?? I got home and got my puffer and can breath but am fuming!! I didn't end up going to the shopping mall either :(

:hug: missy mel... texting sucks for misinterpretation of issues!!!!! Worse than a forum ;) I can't count the amount of fights me and DH have had because he meant something one way and I took it the wrong way.

nappies...hmmm well Jack had to christen his new magicall didn't he...HUGE pooplosion (which was contained :D ) which i have to rinse off either in the sink or a bucket of water...should be spraying it off BUT nooooooo...

i seriously am done girls. I can't take the walking on eggshells and the cranky moods he gets in (yeah I get that he works from 4am till 3pm but so do I) and I really can't believe he drove past me when I couldn't breath! I am there pushing a pram with 2 kids struggling for breath with 15 more minutes of walking ahead to get home and he drives past... :crying:

i dont like MF but they came with the pockets. i'll slowly get round to replacing them with bamboo...
