you ALWAYS stress before a stocking and you ALWAYS have successful stockings Maz!
Yeah Maz they are always a hit!!! Hence what I said on FB the other day..your stuff is so hard to get!!! Are you going to limit purchases like CK does so ur love gets spread? Also wanted to let you know Em had her Ooh lala set on today...she looked so cute!!! Will put a pic up on FB.
No other nappy news for us, I can't see me buying any more for a long time :(
nooooooooooooooooooo don't limit it!! i love my maz covers and use them EVERY day! i dont' think i have enough once she grows out of the nb's!
hmm not sure wat im going to go go for coz i know ill miss out if im greedy lol
Kitten - no :( she never got back to me and there's no point in buying anymore for us...still wiating on one auriel and thats it im affraid :crying:..what singlets ;)..if you like that wait until to you see my surprise...your going to bust your poo poo valve at it
BG - ahh yep..I do stress dont I lol...cant help it.
Going to the MPM thread to update :D
Jwith J check out Eden on Facebook she makes gorgeous things. PM me for the link of u want. I bought the most divine pinny like Gigi was talking about. Em is going to wear it at her party next weekend.
BG I love Maz stuff too but I think someone bought 6 last time I think that's a lot and then others miss out altogether. KWIM?
i've been known to nab a few Maz items at a stocking in the past. i has a trigger finger and i ain't afraid to use it if it means E has stuff that fits her well! she's only just now starting to get too long in the rise for a lot of her NB covers and we only have a couple of smalls. now that we're not using flats much, more for fitteds overnight, we may not need as many as we did nb - but this girl has an explosive backside and Maz covers are the only thing that contains the poosplosions!
sigh - am dreading the next dirty nappy. E has been regularly filling her nappy after first feed in the morning for a couple of weeks - then maybe one smaller dirty nappy later in the day. on Wednesday, she had her ears pierced, gulped lots of air while she was crying, and spent wednesday night and thursday having a bit of a "clean out" along with all the air! but yesterday she didn't go at all, and hasn't again this morning - sigh - i think we might get a mess
WOEB - ummm, a flat and Maz cover (from memory, it's Elf cover - red and green)
The washing machine saga strikes again :crying: It died today. I have spent some time looking at prices of new machines, which aren't quite as dear as we thought, but still need to find out if it is cheaper to fix or replace it. We have spent enough on it over the last 4 years to have replaced it already but it is up to FIL. Only 2 places up here stock the parts for my old machine and they aren't open until Monday, so DH is going to the laundromat until I can get quotes for repairs, unless FIL hears the prices and agrees to opening up enough for a new machine. Looking at a 6.5kg or more FL possibly a Haier or Electrolux. So glad we get defence discount though, knocks $50 off the price of the Electrolux, bringing it under $700.
Using Bicarb in a FL how much would I use? Still only 2 tablespoons? Less or More?
WOLB: Magicall
Ali - Aldi had a 9kg top loaded for $499 today. cant help with bicarb in front loader.....but I have been told by a few people that they regret getting a front loader after having a top..jsut make sure its exactly what you want hon :)
spent most of te morning and early after noon food shopping...I hate it. Im always tired when I get home adn people look at me weird cause I buy 12 loaves of bread at a time..lol...well i only buy it once a fortnight.
Ive got the itch to buy a nappy...not that I have any spare fundage atm.....dang me!!!!!
WOMB - god only knows
think i seen on an ad today a westinghouse (i think) 7kg front loader for 499
not much happenin here - DD sleeping for once yay!!
WOEB - itti - i think it's yellow but not sure - how sad
Ali - our washing machine (14 years old) died when bilby was two months old - so i feel your annoyance. it was a PITA having dh go to the laundrette each night (i was so unwell at the time, i couldn't drive or lift) and we went without the new machine for a fortnight. so doing that with three kids, mamma mia.
I'm surprised you mention a 6.5kg machine, that doesn't sound very big for your size family. Some states have a government rebate on some washing machines, maybe to do with buying a power and water efficient one? I think it's $200 off in this state, ask the electrical goods shops in Townsville, what the QLD rebate is? might help lower the price.
GIve Leah a squeeze for me!
MAZ - if mr mat is showing some tt-ing signs, what are you doing looking at new nappies? wanting to have your Last Hurrah hey? I remember looking at monkey nappies when bilby was tt-ing - coudln't help myself - knew it was ludicrous.
BRIGSY - that's great that you've found covers that have the poo-tainment value for your Miss Em. Leakproof is Most Attractive!
Ezymay - what do you mean by "eden on facebook", more info please?
Charmlea - how is Gabi's finger? did she burn herself on candle flame? that's great you had a gluten free cake for her, i'm thinking about ATTEMPTING to have additive/preservative free birthday food for bilby's 3rd this year. Just got to work out how to do it.
I'd like to find out how to colour icing without using the usual food colouring you get at the supermarket. I've kept bilby low on sugar for nearly three years, she has never had chocolate, but i think i will end the drought when she turns three, her teethbrushing is improving.
WOTBB: bluberry trainers and woollen longies.
gigi , QUEEN , which makes the usual food coulring in the baking section of the supermarket , you know , they cost about $1 been around for ages . well they make "natural food coulouing ' as well , i was on thier website , and noticed you can buy it in supermakets , like coles , i rung them to ask which ones stock it and they told me which ones in my area had it , not all coles stock it .
i found them and they are only about $8 , they come with 4 in the box - they are only small vials but they have a coulor chart so you can mix it to any coulrs you want. im so happy they have them as im careful (ok maybe to the point of near obsession) about additves and coulors ... WHY should i have to eat fake food when there is an abundance of fresh beautiful food out there ...
well , DH gave gabbi a fish finger - with the caoating off , while he was looking after the kids yesterday , and then he realised that the fish inside would have been mixed with breadcrumbs ... so sure enough i was cleaning up vomit a few hours later and had an inconsolable child :(
gtg my smoke alarm is going off
interesting to note - for blueberry lovers like me - that ordering direct from the U.S is actually cheaper than buying them here
go go go aussie dollar!!! if it keeps creeping up I might have to get some more blueberries!!
wohb - tanzanite blueberry sidesnap
Gigi my washing machine is only 5kg lol I don't find it bad, one day of nappies fits and I do about 3 loads a day in total.
No nappy news here so im just lurking.
MissyMoo, i got the 7kg size washer, to allow me to be able to wash bedding. THe machine uses as much water as the load needs, so i don't have to worry about the water, for smaller loads.
Charmlea, thanks for the tip about the food colouring, will chase that up.
i have so much to learn about how to avoid additives/preservatives in processed food.
i've started buying fish fillets, instead of processed fish in supermarket boxes, have suprised myself how easy and nice it is. (and cheaper).
Kitten, last time i checked, blueberry US site will not sell to Aust customers, because they want you to buy from their Aust distributors.
WOTBB: insert tape recording here
what is always is this time of day
blueberry trainers and woollen longies
Hi everyone!
Just a quick one from me... tried one of the smallest prewashed nappies I have on DD it was NB size and it is still so big! Lots of leg gape LOL
But good news is pre-washing is going well so they will all be ready when she is big enough.
Am going to try some prefolds on her soon to get into the habit of cloth. I have told DP that once the sposies we were given are gone that is it - we are into cloth - he doesn't think I will last with the cloth because we started with sposies... I think he has forgotten how stubborn I can be! When he tells me I can't do something then I am more determined to do that!
Have been lurking and seeing what is happening - ok back to the washing
TK - DD wasn't in MCN's til she was about 5 or 6 weeks i think - she just wasn't big enough - flannel flats and NB covers until then. now she is pretty much full time in MCN's though her first nappy change of the morning (around 6am) i usually change her from fitted/cover to flat and cover cos i tend to keep the flats in my bedroom and almost inevitably forget to put extra fitteds in there! that first flat nappy usually gets soaked through as DD doesn't pee overnight - she waits til morning (this morning, she had a small wet at nappy change, then a huuuuuge one after she woke for the day)
ahhh, bliss - DH has been helping with nappy changes and washing! woot! damn shame he's going back to work in an hour til the weekend
WOEB - a pocket of some sort that we're checking for first time - i think it's maybe a kanga pouch or something like that... has a zippered pocket that opens on the outside... not sure DH did it up tight enough though, so this could be catastrophic!
