Kttne - someone put a call out to swap for a BB and she said she had auriels....and my mouth watered ROFL..its an AI2 in dark blue minkee ...nioce
I can never have to many auriels
Hi Maz
i was really hoping to get to the expo to see all your stuff but DH had a family gig i couldn't get out of- urgh! If you do another one, please make sure you advertise it here again. I already have a couple of your covers, and prefolds and breast pads (couldn't live without them!) but reckon it would be grouse to see a whole table full of Maz products.
ladies - what do u recommend for nappy rash with MCN's? DS was on his playmat and had done a poo, he was in it for around 15 mins before i changed him, and i just noticed a small blister on his right thigh. i put some curash powder on but i feel awful!! this is the first time he has had anything like that!!!!
teresa, are you breastfeeeding? if so, express a little and whack in on the blister - i did this just this week and it worked a treat!!!
otherwise moogoo soothing msm cream :)
unfortunately i had to give up bf :(
where do u get that cream from kitt3n? pharmacy?
Howdy,
Im looking at getting some large custom GF AI2s made for DS.
How many do you think I should get? This will be the main cloth nappies that he will wear.
He's 1 now, and with sposies he might go thru 4-5 in a day. 12 or 18?
We wont be doing cloth overnight though as im yet to find one he doesnt pee through and the trial and error is getting expensive.
WOOB: aqua tie-dye GF
Maz- LOL sounds like u had a good time...
hmmm for when bubs arrives i have at least 1 of every possible style/type to try, see which works best for him. im thinking hes gonna b a whopper so hopefully he can fit into the cute AIO asap!
speaking of which i had my 1st attempt at making a AIO/AI2 yesterday, thanks to *beema*!!! didnt work out toooo badly (despite my questionable sewing skills) but jeeez damn pattern, its meant to be a small but is MASSIVE and looks closer to a medium, small large maybe!! still cute tho.
some chemists have it teresa BUT you can buy it online from their store. Unfortuneately we cant giv eyou the directlink due to the guidelines but let google be your friend ;)
how many GF's have you got already hon? I think we have about 8 and about 18 auriels, they tend to do us for 4 - 5 days if that helps.
work on about 5 nappies a day min
ATM I have 7 GFs in medium, but they are just too small so I need to upsize.
Aso have 3 greenkids that are OK, 2 bubblebubs and an iish fly
Cool 5 a day is about what I thought, wanted to make sure I wasnt being overly stingy.
So maybe I will get 12 and then some bubblebubs. hmm.
Making DH use them is the hardest part but Ive figured out his issue is with the poo not the nappies. He doesnt want to rinse of clean them, and he flat out refuses to use cloth wipes, same reason.
So I thought I could buy the cotton square wpies you can get that you still need to spray with ewater, but better than the wet kind on his bum.
Will the (dirty) nappies be OK if they're stiing in the nappy bucket til I get home from work? As long as they're getting empties at the end of the day?
they should be ok just harder to rinse and get it off coz i had this issue when i was working
Pan - Jed and I often forget to wash pooy nappies for a day or two  we have an empty bucket in the sink that we put just those nappies in cause he does 3 -5 a day :o yes my 2 1/2 year old poo's that much STILL ( you should see how much he eats lol) and I dont rinse every single one out, they all go into the bucket int he sink and I rinse the poo of the morning and wash them then, you could do the same but at night instead. Get most of the poo off and then give them an actual rinse in the washing machine before doing a big load.
I might know someone who would be intersted in your medium GF's hon
My son goes to family day care two days a week and his carer puts the cloth wipes inside the nappy, rolls it up and puts it in a wetbag... so the poo ones sit like that all day. They are fine to clean off in the evening- no problems at all. We use a little squirt.
Pandora- I quite often get DD doing a pooey nappy as I'm running out the door and it's not remembered for 9-10 hours. we just get off as much as possible and we're good. i do a wash load every night at DD's bath time (DP bathes her) and never really had any issues unless DD has that nasty acid pee while teething.
WOCB: maz night nappy. Hun I really need large cover. could you PM me with details on how to obtain one?
Maz, if you do, they are welcome to them for free once I can replace them with the larger size, which will be in 2-3 weeks.
Some of the inserts need to be fixed or repalced, (DH left them in a nappy bucket for a week and there are a few very thin sections as a result, a d a couple of holes) but most of them are ok. Just not willing to charge money for them.
Fluffy mail! From BBH, a little rainbow of magicalls, at some very reasonable prices. YaaaaaaaaY.
I am still waiting for my bbh! I did go shopping today and found a brand new bbh wool cover. Now just need help re lanolising! Who can help?
Teresa, I found that I did not need to lanolise the BBH wool covers as they are pretty thick. However, if you do want to lanolise them, you can get sprays or stuff in a bottle that youput in a little water and let them soak in it.
I like the sprays, they are easier, but the bottles are better value for money..
