He's having trouble passing wind (also doesn't like burping). I often have to bicycle his legs when changing as well and get a lot of wind out then. We're seeing a Chiro at the moment just for a check sort of thing; will remember to tell her this week. Pead wasn't concerned when I mentioned the gas issues at the 6 wk check (hadn't noticed the little poops at that stage)

Hey, leckert, what about liners? I used to do this with DD. I used micro fleece topped terry cotton boosters, so they caught a bit of liquid, and all of the solid, and you could just whip it out and pop in a new one.
so..stains, mine already have them... after 1 use! I didn't do a rinse before the wash... is this a must? it that help?
They'll wash out. Then come back. Then wash out again. Plenty of sun will help. :D
Ds2 is 8 weeks (just FYI). I just gave away the "chux" type liners that I had as I barely used half a dozen from the pack, and I've no idea where I put my raw silk liners (which I accidentally washed with detergent  wonder if I find these if they'll help) the problem is the poop doesn't really make out of the crack ITMS.

Defs liners then. I'd go for just straight micro fleece.
Tei - rinsing first is good. Do you spray the poo off? That helps, but sun is your number 1 best friend.
Well the good thing about winter is that I can leave the Nappies wet in the machine overnight :D Drying time suuuuucks though!
Can I get microfleece at spotlight? (and do I have to hem?)
Saw Chiro today and it seems ds2 was blocked up (not moving internally) adjusted now and should be better (back to check next week)

What are the best night nappies you've used? I'm happy with both the BBH and Widdlewuns, but I'm going to need the next size up for this chubba at some stage. Might as well keep an eye out for specials or secondhand now!
WOHB: BBH night nappy with white PUL cover
leckert - Lincraft yes, Spotlight not sure. No hemming required.
Jen - GF night Nappies are awesome. I have two that were used for two Nerd Burger kids, and have been in use here for over a year. Still going strong! Bubblebubs GNSTs are good too, they have a special on this weekend, I think.
WONB: BBH NN (snap!) and TotsBots fleece cover.
Hi girls!!
We are still using terryflats with a cover, but im keen to get her in mcn asap. a couple of days ago i tried a osfm ittibitti (cause they are a bit smaller than rest of my stash) but it leaked up her back. does this still mean shes too small? or could it have been my n00bness?
I have no idea how many boosters we will need to use cause i guess thats trial and error?
Any basic tips/starting points fir me to start with and then i can go from there?
(ps my stash is made up of osfm ittibittis, osfm bbh and some dragonfly magics)

Was it a new itti bitti, if so they can take a few washes to reach full absorbancy, and you do have to ensure you have the right fit to avoid leaks. I prefer the dlish over tuttos. But for some, the itti bitti shape and fit isn't right. I hope this has helped a little bit :)

I found the osfm were too big on my newbies. I couldn't get a good fit with them until about 3 -4 mo. Mine were GKs though. I preferred the sized ones for that reason. It is a lot of trial & error but you'll get there. The IB's might just need a bit of adjusting to get the right fit and/or extra washing like bskilner said. With the fit, just make sure it is firm around the legs but not too tight. If it's too tight, there's no room for the poop & it will escape. Too loose it will find holes. If it's wees that's leaking, it's probably more an absorbancy issue & may need more boosting. HTH
thanks girls, it was wees that leaked. I did do a handful of washes on them to get the absorbancy thing...but that was a few months ago, would that matter?
maybe i just didn't have it fitted right...hmmm might try again sometime...
It can take up to ten washes to get bamboo to full absorbancy. I would guess it needed extra boosting. I found it would leak out the legs if the fit wasn't right.
so we are now using a mix of our ittibittis and terry flats, we occassionally get leaks from the ittibittis, but they are getting less. I'm thinking of braving the dragonfly magiks next, cause they look like they might fit...maybe...we will see =P we are only using terry flats at night tho.
I'm struggling with DH though... I have to do EVERY nappy change, (and ever feed) and its really starting to get to me, I've shown him how to use them (and even the terry flats) but he just isn't bothering =( even when the ittibittis are colour coded, and i pre snap them for him... if DD needs a nappy change he just takes it off and leaves her there nappy free to 'have a kick' which is great and she loves it and all good, but he never puts a new one on her!! i have to go and do it =(
WORB ~ bitti tutto carnivale
DH won't use flats so I didn't bother with them first time round let alone this time. He would however put MCNs on if set up and ready to go but he preferred the Velcro style fastening over the snaps but got used to the snaps when that's all I had out.
So looking forward to getting into cloth properly when at home in 1 1/2 weeks once I've finished thrush cream even though it'll be GKs and pockets :( I don't like stuffing pockets

Maybe i need to push it more...it surprised me cayse flats were what he used on all his other kids

Thanks
