How Long in Night Nappies or Pull Ups?

How long was your child in night nappies?



I have a dilemma.... Thanks to a lovely BB gals tip, I've just discovered Genesa Forge and I must say that I'm IN LOVE!!! The custom design nappies are just amazing and her nappies are the best quality I have found. So DS has bright bots training pants for the day and has been in cloth at night but I wanted some pull ups for night instead of regular cloth nappies (I've posted a few threads on that). I ended up finding that the Genesa Forge nappies with snap sides fit perfectly and they pull up and down easily so I have ordered some of them for DS to wear during sleeps. My problem now is that I only ordered plain ones as the beautiful embroidered ones are so expensive.... BUT I WANT THEM!!!!! They are just so WOW! I think they would be worth it if DS was 12 month younger and then he'd get a lot of wear out of them during the day where I can see he cute little toshie in them all day long, but I just can't justify them with the price tag when they will only be worn at night time. BUT if he's in night/nap nappies for years to come then they might just be worth it I know I'm probably asking the wrong group of people for opinions as I'm sure you are all cloth addicts too... But what would you do? I have no idea how long kids wear night nappies for??

It can vary so much. Girltwin was around 26 months, Boytwin a few months longer. DS1 was around 3 and DS2 is still in night nappies at 7 which is obviously a bit of a problem.

Both my girls TT'd late, but did it completely in one go so knickers night and day. They didn't do that until about 3 for DD1 and 3.5 for DD2.

FWIW, and you KNOW I am the wrong one to ask , there is a really good second hand market for pretty anythings, and GF nappies are well supported. You could well find that the money you get back on them when your DS is done covers the costs of the pretties ITMS

I had thought of the resale aspect which is why I didn't hesitate on buying more in the first place (and way more then I needed) I'm too funny, I sold all my cloth, over 26 OSFA, 50 boosters, 16 covers, a dozen flats and gosh knows what else and I left DS with a few night nappies. Now I'm wanting to spend another $300+ on awesome custom nappies

I've sold all but my greenkids in my "normals" stash, and the only reason I still have them is that DH is a man, and therefore finds it impossible to learn how to do up snaps on a nappy so he likes the velcro. Of course, the money I'm getting is then funding my pretties addiction. Will try to work out how to send you the link.

Just don't go asking Nikki to do them for you now - I'm part way through telling her about the scene nappy I'd like her to do for me and I don't want her distracted ;-)
