Little Squirt, poo scraping, or flushable liners - which to choose?

ooh the bamboo ones sound good! It would be so good to have a predictable pooer. I hated using the flushable liners for wet nappies LOL.

As for out and about it depends where I am and what type of poo it is. If I'm near a bathroom, and it's a nice solid one that can be shaken off, then I'll do that. But sometimes it just had to be bundled up in the nappy and dealt with at home. I know when I was preg with DD1, I was feeding DS still and his nappies were ALWAYS sloppy due to the colostrum he was drinking! LOL. They were LS nappies only :/ Even flushable liners didn't do the job with those ones.

I know it's not in line with the whole reusable idea, but nappy sacks are handy to have on hand if it's a particularly stinky bundle that you're stuck with for a long period (like being out all day on a hot day!!) cos they help hold in the stink a bit. I find the wetbags I have get a bit wiffy after a while.

It's nice to be in the breastfeeding poo stage... so easy LOL.

I think my milk must be affecting DDs poos. Not much flickability happening here.

Trying to wash off nappies when i'm out just gets messy and i don't think the lines would hold much here, so i just wrap the nappy inwards and put it in the wet bag and take it as soon as i get home and clean off then.

With newborn poos, i would also just wait til i get home.- don't know how much liners would hold.

I don't use either, found the liners to move and miss the poo, a ls my kids would play with. I just turn the nappy upside down and the poo rolls off, even when ds had bm and sticky green reflux poo's. We use itti's and Holden's landing which are bamboo. It's rare for them to need a scrape or much of a rinse.

I never tried a LS, I scraped with NB runnier poos or rinsed and put in the tub for washing. I have to admit that the scraping wasn't all the thorough in the early days as we started using cloth at 2weeks old and I was in a daze! So we did a pre wash rinse cycle 1st then a regular wash. I used fleece liner right from the early days and I still use them today. I bought a huge roll on flushable liners but they feel so rough that I never used on ds's bottom. I used bamboo velour wipes too as we were going through to many back then too. Now I use disposable wipes and there is no need for scraping really. if ds does a poo in the cloth I can generally wipe his bottom and scrap up the poo with the wipe as they are soild poops. Besides I'm lucky enough that he wears 2 spossies in 24 hours and he poops when he gets up and he's in a spossie overnight. Then I usually put him in another spossie for his nap and he poops in that when he gets up again!

LS all the way. I don't know what I'd do with out it. DS has always had rather sloppy poos. Liners move every time. I used them for daycare but there was always heaps of poo on the nappy anyway so it was a waste of time. When out & about, I just wrap the poo in the nappy & LS it at home.
