Hi ladies, starting to purchase some cloth nappies for my first babe due early next year.. But how many do you think I need so I am not washing all the time?
How many did you get that was enough?
Thanks

I had 20 to start with and wash every second day, I now have 42 with 2 kids in cloth but use disposable at night as I have heavy wetters
I reckon I started with about 15-20 but needed more quickly to allow for more frequent changing... they are addictive and I now have over 60. 😳😳😳
The plus side is I can wash every second and still have plenty left while the others are washing and drying.
I love them, we use them full time here.
We had 10 MCNs (pockets with bamboo inserts) and 40 terry squares. When DS2 came and we had 2 in nappies for a while, we got another 10 MCNs with inserts.
ok so it seems 20 is the minimum...
Dont suppose you'd like to share your favourite brands and why?
Thank you!
I had enough at one stage that I could go 8 days without washing. Not that I ever did, but it's useful if you have a rainy stint or illness or just a few crazy days. That was about 70 nappies. A mix of terry flats and MCNs. My standout favourite brand has been Bonnibuns, they are so hardy. And my GreenKids and Issy Bears have been good too. I didn't like Baby BeeHinds or itti bitti. I love Bubblebubs bamboo delights for night, and the BamBams are amazing for a newborn.
I'm joining in on this conversation as I'm trying to decide on what brand of nappies of MCN's to buy. And like Danie said, I'm guessing 20 is the minimum to purchase so you aren't constantly washing.
