Not eating

DD 17 mo is being VERY finicky with food ATM. Some days I'm lucky if I get anything into her! She's also turned into a complete grouch and whinger, even daycare noticed and they only see her one day a week. I know she is finishing off her molars and canines, so I'm inclined to think that's the problem. But my friends with similar-aged babies reckon their kids are going through an 18 month sleep regression?

Get a copy of "my child won't eat" by carlos gonazles. It's quite normal for kids' eating to slow down from 12-18 months as their growth rates slows, and apparently it can be years before they start eating lots again.

I've mentioned it before, but my DS went through a stage at this age where for an entire fortnight, he'd only eat frozen peas - nothing else. Did my head it. He's been the worlds pickiest eater since then, but that's an aside.

They all have their own little fight with the world. They're learning at this stage to control things in their world....at least that's what it feels like to me.
