    Depo-Provera (Birth Control Shot)

Hi mommies, is there anyone here using depo? I had a shot last May 29, 2015 but until now i dont have my menstruation and i have a signs of being pregnant like headache, weight gain, absence of periods, and back ache I'm afraid that i'm pregnant coz i just had my CS last december. Os there a possibility that you will get pregnant while on your depo? Anyone please help me by giving advice or sharing knowledge.

I have heard of people getting pregnant on depo. You'd be best off to have a pregnancy test and see a dr.

I've been on it for over a year and had a period every 3 months for the first couple of times I haven't had one since so probably 6-9 months I've had pregnancy symptoms before too but no baby

Yep, given a shot of depo, no period for three months however I developed pregnancy symptoms. Did a test and found out I fell pregnant just after having the shot. I was 16 weeks along when I found out

    Re: Depo-Provera (Birth Control Shot)

After a very hard pregnancy I had a beautiful baby boy, by myself, as the dad didn't acknowledge him. All good now though, my boy is 3, healthy and his dad is a part of our lives. Seems like I was one of the unlucky few to ovulate after having the shot.

It's ok to have pregnancies close together, just not ideal. Take a test and go from there. You may not be pregnant, but it's better to know earlier rather than later

    Re: Depo-Provera (Birth Control Shot)

Some people say if you are irregular (which i am) u'll have a tendency to have it . But when i read some articles it says the uterus contracts strongly it can press the blood vessels cutting off oxygen to the muscle of tissue. Pain results when part of a muscle briefly loses supply of oxygen.
