That u/s lady is a cow. I was so excited when you had posted, but no news :( Oh well, we are all waiting and hoping here with you. Take care and GL for positive results. PS - If you want to spend the money, or have any left over, do the HPT again and see if the line is getting darker. The more HCG the darker the line gets (as far as I am aware) and I would think it would appear quicker too. Perhaps do it with FMU every second (or if it was me - impatient - every day) and see what's happening. (Write on the stick with nikko, or if they're dipping ones, put them in a clip lock and write on the outside the date and time) xx

I cannot thank everyone enough for being so supportive! You are all so sweet, I am so glad I found this place! :D
Unfortunately I have scared myself absolutely *****less. All day at work I have been going over what the doctor told me on Wednesday, that it could be an ectopic pregnancy. So (naturally  ) I have googled and searched on here and got myself so worked up LOL. I KNOW its too early to tell, it would have come up on the U/S if not! But the Doctors words about low HCG levels mean an ectopic pg keep echoing in my head, then reading about people nearly dying ... oh man I'm freaked out! Lmao.
And I cant remember if the U/S lady said if my uterus looked like it was "prepared" for the embryo or not. Surely if there was any indication of an ectopic that could have been seen she would have said?!
I need to calm down lol. Vent over! Hahahaha.
I REALLY REALLY hope my hcg level have at least doubled, cause that would put my mind at ease a bit more. If they have only risen a little, I honestly think it may be an ectopic.
And Joey I was going to buy more HPT's! LOL. I forgot though >.< So I just have to wait now for my appointment lol.
Today I felt pretty crappy. After the U/S I swear my cervix has been a bit sore. Idk if thats normal or not, but for a little bit afterwards I just felt uncomfortable. Fine now though. And I'm starting to get headaches, they started a day or so ago and today it was less bearable. Haven't been so hungry today either, the last few days I have been starving within 20mins of eating lol. Although I have totally gorged on food today hahaha. Which I dont know if it has anything to do with being pregnant or not. If the U/S didnt show anything because its too early, would I really be experiencing symptoms like that?
It's sooooo frustrating not knowing what is and isn't normal in pregnancy seeing as this is my first lol.
ETA: I'm sorry to bore you all with my ramblings LOL. It's just nice to have a place to get them out :P
-
Don't apologise for rambling.
This waiting and not knowing is horrible and i have looked things up on google also and given myself big frights.
I think the best thing to do is not to overthink it all it will just drive you crazy you will create scenrios in your head and get yourself too worked up.
Your symptoms you're experiencing now could be normal. I lost my appetite at about 5 weeks at the same time as morning sickness, before i felt fine and was eating normal.
I have also had headaches right through this pregnancy as well as terrible migraines.
Wish you all the best and keep us updating as things happen

Hoping its just very early hun. I needed an u/s to find out how far I was this time, but my gp refused to let me have it done until the BT results showed I was at least 8 weeks. She didn't want me going through the same anxieties you are at the moment. Not much can be seen before then.
Don't stress just yet. Amazing things can happen :)
ETA - sorry my post says anxieties twice....I can't fix it! Its only there once in edit!!! I'm confused, lol!

Wewt I'm feeling a bit more positive after todays appointment!
My hcg levels are now 170, so a bit more than they were asking which is good. Dr said it's still a bit hard to tell if its a non-viable pregnancy or still very early on, but the fact that I've had no cramping all this week or any other kind of pains or bleeding is very good. She said it's entirely possible I'm only a couple of weeks along. Which still means anything could happen, buuuut I'm not trying to dwell on that lol.
She also went through the U/S results with me, and although they were inconclusive, there was no evidence of anything or any changes to my tubes which she was happy with. They recommended I go back in 3 weeks for another scan to see how things are progressing. I told her what the lady at the U/S told me, and the things she asked and how "rough" she was. She was horrified lol. She said the U/S lady shouldn't have gone into so much detail with me without the scans being checked first, and she was astounded by the treatment I received and said she would speak to them about it so another doesnt get roughed up like I did lol. Love her hahaha.
Soo had more bloods taken today, another hcg test and Dr said it was worth doing all the other blood & urine tests they do. I'm going to try and get in on Sunday to see her for the hcg results as they will be in by then, and everything else comes back mid next week. I figure I'll get the hcg results earlier for peace of mind lol. :crossfingers: for another good rise! :D

shan this is FANTASTIC news! sounds like you just got lucky and found out really early lol! great to see those numbers going up!! and lovely to hear that your GP is on the ball. YAY! if you feel comfortable, have a look at the 'belly buddies' (in the pregnancy buddies section)...a nice way to share this journey with other girls...no doubt there are already girls in the late january/early february groups chatting away!

Thats awesome news!!!!
Its looking really good for you and im so pleased that your doctor was alot nicer and more informative.
:)
-
Heee thanks!!! <3 :D
But as luck would have it, after I posted this I went to the toilet and (TMI warning!) found a brown spot on my underwear. Nothing there when I wipe, but just this tiny 5 cent piece size spot. Should I mention this when I go back in to the clinic? I've heard and read both sides that spotting is bad, or that slight spotting doesnt mean anything. I'm not in any pain, just a little discomfort from (another TMI warning lol) gas and I swear... constipation lmfao. Idk what the heck is up with THAT! LOL!
I'm such a worry wart
But eee I really am excited xD

If it gets heavier, or changes to red I'd be more worried. It could be implantation bleed, which as far as I know can be more a browny colour & different to a normal AF. Can last up to a few days & be more spotting than anything. Hoping thats all it is :)
-
Welcome to BB and congrats on your pregnancy. It sounds as if you are on a bit of a roller coaster ride at the moment. I hope your HCG levels continue to rise and that you next scan shows you something more definitive. As for the spotting I wouldn't worry about such a tiny amount of dark blood, especially when you've had such a nice rise in HCG. With both of my pregnancies I had quite a bit of bleeding at 5, 9 and 12 weeks, (and mine went red) but I still went on to have a healthy baby boy with PG #1 and I am currently being kicked in the ribs by PG #2. When I had a m/c I started spotting and it just kept getting heavier and heavier and when I had my HCG levels tested they low and dropping very rapidly. I think your appt is going to go just fine but I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat until then.

hope you were able to get in to see your Dr tomorrw and :crossfingers: for a rise in numbers!

Okie dokie update!!
I couldn't get in to see my Dr yesterday, so I had an appointment today. But the reception staff stuffed up and booked me in with a different doc even though I asked for my normal one, I was almost in tears when I was called by someone else LOL. But she was really nice and helpful luckily lol.
ANYWAY..... I got another good rise!!!! My levels are now at 471!! She asked me a few questions, looked over my other results and said the rises have been good so I am very early on. She said to have another BT in 2 weeks just to make sure that my levels have risen normally. And she also gave me another referral for a U/S and said to have one when I would be about 8 weeks. I forgot my normal doctor had already given me one, so I figure I will get one U/S in 3 weeks like it was recommended last week, then if everything is all well and good then, get the 8-9 week scan.
She then spoke to me about what I can and cant eat as I had no idea lol, and when I asked if I should now start a pregnancy supp she said just a folic acid tablet would do. I think I will just do a pregnancy supp though because of all the other things it has in it, just for peace of mind lol.
But omg I'm so much more excited now. The worry about it all has got to me the last few days and I have been so moody towards my poor DP. Poor bloke hasn't been able to do anything right lol, oops.

Thats wonderful news!!
So happy for you. You will have to keep us updated! :)
-
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! Soooo happy for you. Can't wait to hear all about your journey.
-
Hooray, so glad your appt went well! How exciting!
-
Well I'm here to update you guys, I thought I'd just post a quick one here rather than make a new topic.
{TMI warning} I just went to the toilet and there was a slight brown colour when I wiped, so I done my business then afterwards there was a bright red streak of blood on the toilet paper. Not a little bit either. Bugger :(
Through this whole thing I've had the thought of "If it's it meant to be it, it will be", but I wont lie I was pretty darn excited and I'm pretty devasted. We had planned to travel over to the parents on Friday afternoon to tell them, I was gong to enjoy springing this on my mum lol.
So I'm just going to let this play out and see what happens, but I know where it's headed. What a craptastic start to my day >:(

Can I suggest, call the doctor straight away and go now to see him/her. If there are no appointments, tell the receptionist you are UTD and you are having some bleeding. The doctor will definately see you. Then he/she will send you for a blood test and then you can see what your HCG levels are. Tell them to fast track the results and you will know by this afternoon or in the morning. It is very common to have bleeding in your pregnancy, I did a couple of times, and my friend had so much that the hospital told her she miscarried, she even passed a huge clot (she now has a crazy 18 month old). I don't want to get your hopes up too much, but I don't think you should be too upset just yet either. Brown blood is old blood and nothing too much to worry about, but don't know what about the red blood, so Please call the dr now!!
-
Thanks Joey :)
I rang the dr's, told them I'm pregnant and bleeding, but they still said they were fully booked and couldn't do anything. So I asked to speak to my doctor and they told me she's not in until later this evening. They were helpful though as they had the causality nurse call me back and she aked some questions. She said because I dont have any pain, it's not cause for huge panic. She said it could have been a implantation bleed and told me how she had with each of her pregnancies red spotting and all turned out fine. So just gotta wait and see now, if it gets any worse or if I get any pain to ring back and make an appointment.
My fingies are crossed so tightly lol
