Hi Dustmite,
Yes, according to FF I ovulated on the 7-9 but I started to get very sticky (and when I say sticky I mean would stretch between finger&thumb) which made me believe I ovulated later then they predicted and more to the dates you have said.
I had been getting small pains in the middle of my stomach and to the left side which makes me think they were small ovulation pains.
I have been under a lot of stress lately, but it really shocked me that AF came early last month!
I thought all the lil symptoms I was getting were a lil bun in the oven :(
But hopefully this is the month!!
Thank you for all your help!!

well as you probably know, stress can cause changes in your cycle that normally would not happen.
The other thing I thought about was perhaps you do not have a normal luteal phase of 14 days. If you thought you did, but did not that would also explain why it seemed AF came early. Are you just now starting to chart or have you been watching and charting for a while? If you have been watching for a while, is your normal luteal phase 14 days (assuming you have been able to pin down the date of ovulation normally)?

You could try ovulation test, they are really cheap on ebay and just a pee on a stick that you do every day.
It's what helped me get utd!!

Hi Dustmite - No I have only just started pin pointing my chart. I usually just look out for CM which, like I said, was quite sticky & stretchy on Saturday and Sunday of last week.
I had heard that stress can affect your cycle and I knew I was stressed but I had no idea my body was going more crazy then me :) lol.
So in saying about my CM and everything, I DTD on Sunday & Monday nights, do you think that would have been enough?
Im hoping so but I feel really down about it:(
Thanks again for all your help, I really appreciate it :)
Hi Mazzie - I seriously didnt know you could buy them on eBay. Do you suggest any specific brands or types I should be looking for? Yes Im very novice on all of this lol.
Congrats on your BFP and all the best for a H&H 5 months!

although I'm not a doctor (but I play one on tv...j/k..sorry - lamo I know) it does take just one little :whip:
When we tried to have Corban, the month before he was conceived, we BD on the night before, the night of and the night after Heidi ovulated. She fell PG but had an M/C. The next month we did BD all but one day of her fertile week, but I still think the night before, of and after ovulation was the key time frame (sorry if I am just duplicating something I said previously). I think your timing has possibility, but you never know. In the future, if you think you might be fertile and have the opportunity, then BD like mad. It can rarely hurt ;) especially if something does cause your cycle to change. learn to trust your bodies indicator and take chances even if its out of schedule.
I am watching and hoping to hear good news soon! :bluedust:

Hi Dustmite,
Well Im trying not to get my hopes up but I just cant help it. Monday is D-Day, AF is said to come then but knowing me it will be a day late, Ill get my hopes up then Tuesday...hello AF. Although Im  its not the case this month!
Just a question about CM if you can help me. When CM is thick and sticky like you could stretch it between your fingers, what does that mean? I always thought it meant OV had happened and then I heard it meant OV is happening in the next few days?
This is all so confusing lol.
Thanks for all your help and well wishes, I hope I can give you some good news soon;)

hmm. lol. my disclaimer....im not a doctor..lol. I think it depends on exactly how stretchy it is. usually when it is real stretchy and i think clear but not positive off hand on the last part it usually means you are fertile or the most fertile. Not sure it actually means you are ovulating at that moment just that you are either about to or have. either way the CM is just right for sperm (i.e. most fertile).
If you have a library or a book store, you might go take a look at a book, i think its title is: Taking Charge of your fertility: "The definitive guide to natural birth control, pregnancy achievement, and reproductive health". I think the author is Toni Weschler. I am pretty sure that is the book I'm thinking of.
excellent book, not sure what edition you would get to look at, but my wife has it (packed or I would look up the info for you) and I have scanned through it. very informative and I believe the author talks about CM texture, color, consistency in relation to fertility.
is your CM very stretchy right now?
