15? Sheesh, she'll be lucky if he hasn't already had sex by that age. Not to mention that as far as I know sex ed starts in upper primary school now.

my mum didn't have "the talk" with me until I was about 16 and already had a very serious boyfriend. Her words of wisdom were to just say no

DD11 and I had "the" talk last year and the boys were around the same age. Sex ed starts in grade 5 so I wanted them to hear it first from us rather than at school. As others have also said we were always open with the kids and answered any questions they had as they arose.
