TT - i know they have a mocha, but i'm not 100% sure what else :)
You could always buy a bottle of syrup to get the flavour twist.
I love hazelnut coffee. I make them at night ( when not pregnant!) for DH and I. Decaf coffee pod and add a bit of hazelnut kahlua into the mug :) its like a liqueur coffee, yummo!
A little disappointed, I tried the GJs coffee pods in my Aldi machine twice, and both times the pod slot handle flew up and the pods got stuck and had to be prised out with a knife :-( Will be sticking with Aldi pods from now on.
I've finally worked out how to use the machine properly. Now I am addcited and plan my day around my coffee and which pod I might choose :)
Haha Mrs Cricket you sound like me! When I first got mine I was making up to 5 a day! But it was costing me a fortune in pods & milk and the extra calories from all the milk went straight to my butt so I had to stop LOL
Same here. Between using milk for the kids, general cooking plus our coffees, I practically needed to buy a cow. So, I am limiting myself too :)
Oh my.. has anyone had the GJ caramel coffee??????
DELICIOUS... i've found with the GJ ones i pierce the pod twice and the flavour seems to come out a little better... might need to buy me some good quality coffee syrups one of these days though and start making some fancy tasted coffees.
G'day. I recently bought the new Aldi Rich Hot Chocolate pods. They are no good. They have no flavour & are like brown water. Likewise their new Caramel hot Chocolate pods have no flavour. It appears they no longer stock their normal hot Chocolate pods which did have a chocolate taste.
The reason I never bought the Woolworths pod machine some time ago was because they didn't sell hot chocolate pods.
I noticed, today, that Woolies had Hot chocolate pods stacked with their own brand. I don't recall the brand but they were in a squarish box.
My question is, does anyone know if the hot chocolate pods sold by Woolies will fit the Aldi machine?
ibknow the woolies select brand fit my machine if those are the ones your talking about.
Yes they do, but why would you want a chocolate pod? You still have to add heated milk. You can just as easily tip a couple of teaspoons of hot chocolate powder into a cup and add hot milk.
Our Aldi hot choc ones were so sweet( orange and mint)!!! Are you sure they are piercing properly????
OT a bit but can anyone tell me where they get a descaler from for cleaning this Aldi machine????
Yep, but it's a bit of fun frothing the milk & dribbling the hot chocolate into a cup from the pod machine..
our aldi only had pain choc! where are these orange and mint ones?
They are on sale tomorrow! :-)
Can't believe I only just saw this thread....will have to try the Woolies ones for sure. Does anyone know if they do a chai?
And, just to clarify....it's the Caffitaly and Woolworths Select pods, right?
FWIW, I have never added hot milk to the chocolate Aldi pods. Just the pod and a little cold milk like you'd do for tea/coffee.
They do a chai latte- it's yummo! Our local (Wonthaggi,Vic) Aldi is selling the mint and orange choc ones and have the chai all the time.
