I wanted to know too hun - you use the Delonghi one as they make the K-fee systems and can buy it online and probably at HN or somewhere I would think. I live in the boonies so will get some online I think!

Ohhh ok! will have to take a trip to Hn to check it out. Thanks Tan :)
These coffee machines are on sale again at Aldi this week, on Weds. It also has the descaler etc that you're all talking about. I am thinking of getting one for DP for Father's Day, since my original plan seems to have run out of time! Trying to work out what pods to get though....
Okay I bought the Aldi machine, the strong coffee sampler (but now worried it'll be too strong going by a friend's review who also bought it) and the Gloria Jeans one you recommended Marydean. I was going to grab a Woolworths brand one too but I am so lost with coffee, never been a drinker. I also got the Aldi's chai latte as he does like chai, but I saw the main ingredient was sugar :(
Hope he likes it, heard so many good reviews.
Hehehe - the main ingredient in most chai's is sugar... unless you brew it yourself from actual tea/teabags.
If nothing else, he will LOVE the convenience. My DH drinks some of the stronger ones but he makes it latte-style in a mug size so it doesn't end up too strong. Let us know, though, after the big reveal, which pods were the winners in your DP's book.
Kelly, just remember when you are drinking the Gloria Jeans one that Gloria Jeans not only fund the ACL (not just anti gay marriage, but incredibly anti gay full stop), but also they run 'mercy ministries' for troubled teens to exorcise their demons and cure them of their delusions.
Their coffee has a slightly bitter aftertaste.
Oh no I completely forgot Lenny. My poor brain. Can always return it :)
Sorry to be such a downer Kelly. I hope I didn't come across wrong. I knew you wouldn't dare buy Nestle, so I figured you'd rather avoid GJs next time too.
All good - thanks for the reminder. Its all a bit of a blur at the moment! :)
Dammit! I actually liked that coffee. >:(
So glad the chai latte is back at Aldi - will have to get Mum to bring one over at Christmas ;)
I only have it rarely because of the sugar, but its a special treat with frothed milk on top. Did you get the frother Kelly?
Yeah I did, felt wrong to give him a machine without it!! My friend also said he got it and it was awesome, so made sure I picked it up. Also grabbed the Aldi hot chocolate pods too - had to pick between rich chocolate and light chocolate - hard choice, I think you really need to be able to try before you buy. 16 pods or whatever per pack, will be a shame if he doesnt like some of the flavours!!!
After all this talk, you inspired me to make an Aldi hot choc with frothy milk! And DS got a chocolate baby chino too ;) Not my fave hot choc, but the frothy milk makes it a bit spesh!
In some stores you can buy a taster container, it's in a little metal tin (coffee not hot choc)
We like the hot choc pods here :)
Zarava, I got the Aldi coffee sampler pack, but its all the strong coffees - 8 through to 12!!! Otherwise you have to buy a pack of 16 pods and hope!
Really, mine was full of all different strengths. I have a few of the weaker ones left I think, I like the stronger ones ;)
Hahaha!!! Yeah it specifically said it was a strong coffee sampler, so maybe there are more samplers out there, just not at our store. Trying to tell us something? LOL
What flavours do you like best?
I like the 11 and there's a 9 (will check the name) but there's a 5 I don't mind too... Will get the names for you!
Thanks heaps! Although I might get some Map ones as I have heard lots of good things about their pods. Apparently Aldi's pods don't have a filter in them and the coffee isn't a blend of beans best suited to milk based coffees (which is more popular in Australia). Apparently most pods have Arabica coffee only or a very high percent (like Aldi's and Woolies) but Map and Nespresso use Arabica and Robusta. I'm learning so much about coffee, and I dont even touch the stuff, lol.
