Is everyone ready???
Almost am. Tomorrow is really make do with what we already have, which is thankfully most of it, till I go shopping in the arvo. DH has agreed to follow most of it, he still wants his standard breakfast, which is homemade bircher. That is pretty good for him. Kids of course will have their own breakfasts and standard lunches (DD1 is as school/vacation care and DD2 is fed at childcare). They might have an issue with the dinners, will see how they go though.
I have the juicer out on the bench ready to go for the Renew Juice to take as the snack.

Ok I am in too - after months of fluffing about and semi committing I have just registered. I will have to do a modified version of the meal plan this week as I have shopped/meal planned for the week but I should be able to modify my meals to fit pretty well. I have put in a request for the FCS team so hoping that I will be accepted lol and will get to see you all there! I am also home for 3 weeks to start DD at school so hoping that helps with the exercise etc. I have a goal of 6kg for the 10 weeks. Looking forward to seeing results!

I'm on it too- with an ivf group from facebook.
Really excited about being on a diet for the first time ever i think.
Good luck everyone, my goal is 6 kg - I am doing an ivf cycle during this so have tried a realistic goal as I don't know how the hormones and bloating will affect the weight but I'm sure the healthy eating will be good for me!

I've joined a friend's team. I must say, so far I'm really impressed at the quality of the website. The meal plans, shopping list, recipes, exercise info - all user friendly! Someone really thought this through ha ha!
Looking forward to losing the kgs :)

Must say that I am glad we can join teams. If I was just relying on their forums for support, I would have removed myself from the challenge. The negativity is amazing. They want the loss, but don't want to make any changes (spend money on food, eat different foods etc). I am really wondering why they have joined. It is all free, normally you would have to pay for the book, program, expert support which pretty much just gives you similar version of what the 1MKC is supplying. I understand there are some very genuine concerns, but it is so hard to know what is genuine and what is an excuse.
Sorry for the vent, but I find trawling through posts to find useful information is quite depressing.

I agree Astrid! Maybe it is just the issues people struggle with at the minute. As well as the FCS team a few of my work mates have also joined up so it has been good to chat with them. How is everyone else going - hoping to be more organised next week and follow the meal plan better!
-
I will be more organised next week but i still think i will just take SOME of their recipes and do my own meal plans, haven't checked the forum yet... wasn't sure i wanted to... FWIW though i am only 3.1kg off my goal weight for the end of the challenge :)
-
I haven't even looked at the forums yet. I guess because I have my 12wbt forum and the positivity, encouragement and inspiration is amazing.
It's terrible how people have to bring that stuff into it. Must go and have a look and see what's happening.

Oh good I am not alone. The forums need better moderation. In middle of threads suggesting or asking tech stuff, people posting for food help.
Thankfully though they are now adding more FAQs to deal with the main concerns.
-
wow I checked it out today, pretty bad.... I do like the things that they updated today, but I think I'll avoid the forums for now.
-
Hmmm ... I'm left a little uninspired with the meals this week. Same veg or salad every night, little boring. Didnt like the fritata from last week so will be subbing that. Dont like nuts in absolutely everything so will be skipping them too lol. Idk, not as much variety as I like. Thinking I pick a few recipes I like the sound of, and sub the rest with other, cheaper options lol. My grocery bill was sky high for this current weeks menu :(

Hi girls, how did everyone go with their weigh-in today?
I lost 1.2kg, I am very pleased with this as I am in the middle of an ivf cycle so usually gain weight at this stage!
My Dh isn't even doing it properly, just eating the dinners and he has lost 3.5kg, so he is very happy.
Hope everyone does well x

Well done Saffy! Fabulous results!
-
Great work Saffy  Also a great loss for your DH, very typical of men, don't do it fully, but still seem to get the benefit.
Lost 4.4kg here. Sounds big, but pretty sure about 3 of that would be water loss. Will see how I go again next week, if I lost 2+, then I know I can oomph up my amounts.

i noticed the negativity too... i guess some people just really are not ready to loose the weight iykwim... i know i did try and think of a few excuses LOLI lost 2.2kg this week but i only started on thursday ( payday LOL)
