Welcome Ray Ray, you only just had a baby don't be too hard on yourself.
I'll need to get scales then, so I might have to weigh myself at mums til then, so on tuesday :)
just remember we are all in the same boat some of us need to lose just a little bit other heaps but we are all in this together supporting each other
Am I late for weigh in, or early. No idea, but so totally wrapt! Was weighing the baby today - best way I can, on the wiifit - and I had to weigh myself first, only to get an awesomely pleasant surprise. Weight change of -2.3kgs! I am under 79kgs! *bounces around* Heading the right way!
Oh, and Phe has put on at least another 130g, seeing how the wiifit isnt *that* exact I cant be sure of how much more.
I need to join in too. I had dd3 10 weeks ago an would like to lose 10kgs although 5 by Christmas is my goal for now. My weekness is chocolate, biscuits and cakes. In the past a high protein no carb diet has worked for me but I am breastfeeding so I need some carbs. Currently I am in the process of eliminating and replacing bad for good foods in my diet. So far I have stopped my late night milo and biscuits and have replaced this with some tea.
As far as exercise goes I will try and get a few 20min sessions on my treadmil per week, a couple of walks to the park with my girls, dancing with the kids and basic toning exercises everday.
Other things I will do
Use a meal replacement for my afternoon snack. This may help me from raiding the cookie or chocolate box.
Have hommus and carrot sticks for a snack
Eat 3 pieces of friut per day
Eat a handful of mixed fuit and nuts
Have sopus for lunch
Have natural yoghurt with peaches and muslie for breakfast
I need ideas for lunch. Anyone got ant suggestions???
hi- i havent read all the threads but i would love to join... how does it work???
I just had ds2 and i would love to lose 10 kg (or even a bit more, i didnt shift all my weight from DS1).
i have terrible will power so hoping this will help me... so tell me what the deal is in here..
Hi I would love to join in here I am aming to loose 7-8kg that I have actually gained since having no#4 LOL. I was 57kg before falling pregnant with him but that was too light I think and i am aiming for 59-60kg.
My weakness is PIES and CHIPS yum! I am not so much of a choc person I find it too sweet.
and my worst habit is not eating breakfast then getting to lunch and being hungry so I shove junk in my mouth because I am starving. And my other vice is wine! i love the stuff and that is probably the one thing that has made me gain weight!
So this has inspired me I already walk alot as I love it esp now it is warming up here in CHCH NZ over winter with the 5 degree winds cutting through me but my DS tucked up warm in the [ram withthe rain cover over is not much fun!
So tomorrow after I drop DS age 4 at morning kindy I will go for a 1 hour walk! I don't have scales so I will have to weigh myself on a Friday at the MIL's where we go for dinner every week.
So tomorrow i will make myself have muslie with yoghurt for brekky and eat more fruit I usually have 1-2 per day so I wil add 2 more and I love flat breads so they are great for lunch
Ok, I'm in too ... from this second.
Here are my goals till end of September, then I'll redo them:
1) Drink nothing but WATER - at least 2lt per day
2) NO MORE CHOCOLATE. If I absolutely MUST have something sweet ... some jelly babies/wine gums
3) NO PEANUTBUTTER, what so ever ... WHAT SO E V E RRRRR
4) Sign up with the Personal Trainer
5) MAKE time for some good ol' fashion hard sweating ... I love doing ab-work and weights, because I can SEE and feel it working.
So that is it for the rest of the month.
Hi!
I would LOVE to join this challenge!
My little brother's getting married in January and I HAVE to look good. His future sister-in-law had a baby about the same time I did and she looks gorgeous (damn her!!!) yet I... I can't seem to fit into anything pre-any baby.
I'm going to try and (goals...) walk 3 times a week and go on the elliptical trainer - or whatever it's called - 3 times a week too. I'm not really one for overeating, though. I tend to have brekky of cereal with juice, a lunch of a sandwich with protein and salad things, a fruit snack when DS has one, and tea I try and cram as many vegies as I can in (like tonight it's spaghetti with capsicum, zucchini, carrot, broccoli and onion - whew!) whatever we're having, since DS isn't really up to having a pile of say broccoli on it's own. I don't blame him. Dessert normally gets skipped, and at night, a lovely 2 pieces of whittaker's choccie, 72% dark.
We'll see how we go.
And I hope it's okay if I join??? Cause to look gorgeous again - ie/ 'yummy mummy' in all those magazines - would be fantastic, and then I wouldn't have to buy any new clothes!
Can I join ya girls???
Last weigh in was when DS was 6 weeks, at 84kg. We're now three weeks later and I've no idea what I weigh as I don't own scales....Is it cool if I just measure myself? (It's easier to see results in losing cm's than kg's ;)). I have a stubborn mummy tummy to boot!!!!! Grrr.
I eat weetbix for breakfast, soup or a tuna salad sandwich for lunch and usually steamed vegies and baked fish for dinner and a single tub of light yoghurt for desert...I drink water alot....I would have to say my weakness is for the ocassional alcoholic beverage (with 2 under 2 do ya blame me ;)), and not making the best food selections when dining out at restruants.
I do RPM about 5 times a week and Body Pump once a week.
I am losing weight in the face, legs and arms but my belly just won't shift! I'm a personal trainer and a fitness instructor and have vowed not to go back and instruct again till I look the part!!
Hey, where has this thread gone ladies?? ;)
Tell me your progress!
So when DS was 6 wks I weighed 84 kg.
When he was 10 wks I was 82 kg.
At 13.5 wks I am 76.2 kg (so precise, but I bought scales :D).
So a loss of 7.8 kg in 7.5 weeks. I'm happy!
I've signed up to Calorie King and limit myself to 1400 cals each day, I do one of the cardio Les mills classes each day (usually Attack, RPM or Jam, but today did Combat) and don't eat back all the calories I burn, maybe eat back only half of them.
Here is hoping a Polar sports watch arrives under the Xmas tree this year!
