There is also a calorie boost plan of an extra 500 per day for pregnant, BF, male or maintenance so you can follow the plan and add 500 cal from the boost options if you need to.

It's not so much the hunger that concerns me, it's the idea that someone with 50kg to lose (for example) eats the same as someone with 5 kgs to lose iykwim. It flies in the face of everything I've ever read about weightloss.
Does anyone do the program but eat more calories?? Deliberately, I mean.
I eat an extra 150-500 cals a day for BF (sometimes I forget the calorie boosts), and I'm steadily losing good amounts of weight (22kg since the end if December).
WOOO DH said ok saweet......now kinda thinking oh god what have i done lol
On my phone, so forgive the lack of persies but wanted to reply to N2L. I started the program last year prior to commencing IVF and I knew of the calorie calc as you described from my Naturopath so I was very sceptical about the 1200 cals but for some reason, regardless of what amt of weight you need to lose, the 1200 cals works for everyone. I have no idea why, but it does.... I lost around 9 kgs loosely following the program first time and and stopped due to funds and then I fell pg. Currently I am exclusively bf so have an additional 500cals and unlike PZ I need them! For the first 3 weeks I was so hungry and it is really only the last week I have had a large weight loss. The program focusses on low GI, so that in itself is a good thing for IVF prep IMO. Apart from the meal plans there is goal setting and mind sets and various other things to the program that may prove to help you stick to the program. I am a huge advocate of the program.
