queenbee, you can get sick from having too much water, but I don't know how much it takes. 4l to me sounds a bit much, when it's recommended to have 2l a day...but sorry I couldn't tell you if that amount is bad. Not much help was I, lol!

oh i am so lazy, but only coz my dh is home. Hes a bit lazy so it becomes contagious. He goes back to work monday, so i can pick back up on my walks then. Its not an excuse, i know.
A nip of spirits is worth one WW point, but what about home brew spirits?
Just posting to subscribe. Although I lost some wt last week (1.8%) I didn't really eat that well. Am doing a bit better this week so far. Am kind of glad I didnt eat that well last week as I got back on the train this week and realised that I am in it for the long haul and some slip ups dont mean I cant do this. Previously it has always been to lose weight fast but I know it just isn't feasible. I love my junk food too much to say goodbye forever!
I am starting to feel a bit less bloated around my tummy which is good news! Congrats everyone on the wt loss. Heres to another great week!
Amysarah - Just in regards to stopping cravings - I always budget for two coffees a day - one at MT and one at AT. Apart from needing it to keep me awake at work (lol) it also seems to keep me feeling a little full. Might not be an option for you but helps for me. :)
I'm not a tea or coffee drinker!!
And god help me if I get near the Milo tin... it will all be over then!!! I've gone about 3 weeks without a milo - that's probably the only reason why I'm losing weight!! LOL
I went to the supermarket and got some low-fat yogurts and some more fruit.
amysarah some of my favourite snacks are fruit, yoghurt, wholemeal crumpet with vegemite no marg, raw almonds and a couple of dried apricots
Good Morning ladies
Lucy- I hope you have an awesome day with your babies :) Sometimes i have to tell myself no computer time whilst my girls are awake as i can get a bit carried away
Well doing OK here though not much exercise this week. I wanted to go for a walk last night but it was still so hot and my girls were so tired (excuses i know but it just wouldn't have been worth the stress) By the time i got them to bed i had a mountain of bookwork to do (we own a business and i manage the books) I am hoping to do more today :) Spoilt myself this morning as a treat for doing so well last wk and went and got a pedicure. I did make mini goals for myself and that was supposed to be my 3KG loss treat but i think i will get a spray tan when I've reached 3kg instead.
Well DD1 is at daycare and if its not too warm i think i will park at a friends house around the cnr and walk to get her. DD2 is asleep so off to tidy up then to do some wii fit if she sleeps long enough.
well done on the weight loss every one , i havent weighed my self yet as it hasnt been a full week yet. think ill do it later on, i hope what im doing is right :D
had a bad day yesterday, so heading out now for a walk, the weather is not great might rain, but im so enjoying the cooler weather :D
I stood on the scales this morning and I've lost 200gms - this is the first time I've had scales that are digital - so at least I've made some progress
Also just ran into a girlfriend I've not physically seen since May and she was freaked out at how AMAZING I look now
Woo hoo Schaz! That is awesome as it is the people you only see every now and then that really notice.
That must be a great motivator!
Thanks Lucy, for the amzing amount of work and effort you are putting in.:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I think stick with how it is as outlined in week 1.
Well I had a good week for me, but now find I am being a bit slack this week, just because I did well???
Finding the exercise part hard during the week, just can't drag the kids around with me and then when DH gets home, it's time to do tea. I find it difficult to get out after tea, just so tired. lilias I hear you on that one!!!! But have to really start to make the effort consistantly.
Did someone have a fried rice recipe or bought meal last week that was good and low on WW points?
Also wondering how much a steamed dim sim costs in WW points?
I froze some bananas last week cut them in half, put them on a stick and then dip the tip in choc, the kids love them and I really enjoyed it as well.
Also the sweet chilli philly on ryvitas are good and good as far as calories.:D
the fried rice was me!! I added the recipe to the thread for recipes that Jess (I think) started. Sooo yummy!
YAY DD2 had a good sleep (only just stirring now) Managed to clean the house and do 35mins of aerobic activity on the wii fit. Mind you i am feeling all hot sweaty and disgusting now even with the air con on. It will be worth it in the long run though.

I'm still struggling with my calorieking ratios with carbs/protein/fat. I am not having enough fat or protein and too much carbs. But still meeting or just under calories....I don't really eat much protein I guess, I am trying to have more meat/tuna/eggs, but unless I have it in every meal (ie-bacon/eggs/beans for breaky, eggs/ham/tuna for lunch, meat with dinner) I just can't meet the requirements. I don't really like to eat too much meat and I'm not too fussed on fish, so it's just not adding up. I got some special K which is fairly high in protien so I can have that for breaky.....I have to be really conscious of what I'm having.
On the upside Ihave exercised today, just walking, though i carried ds and pushed dd in the pram and carried the shopping too, all up 3 flights of stairs!
I think I may have pushed myself a bit hard this week- with 3x PT session and 3xwalk as I am feeling a bit ordinary this arvo ( I think having AF contributes to me feeling blerg) I have just had a nap for a couple of hours, and still feel really yuck- I have given into sugar crvings because I am feel so weak.
I think I am just going to have to go steady steady, this is usually where I find a great excuse to fall off the wagon and give up exercise, I am not doing that this time, but I a going to have to start listening to my body.
You're doing a fantastic job Ali - maybe just tone it down a bit (forgive the pun ;)) and take it a bit slower this week!!
Woot Schaz! Awesome work :) It's a great feeling when people notice these things.
Amy - I luurve Milo too. I'm not a big tea drinker (occassionally) and I hate the taste of coffee, so I like a nice yummy milo. I have it when I have a chocolate craving and it's doing the trick. I have it hot with half water and half hi-lo milk.
Hoody - how annoying is the heat in Perth hey! I would love to get outside and go for a walk with DS in the pram but it's just too stinking hot. Got the air-con on and so I'm going to jump on the Wii Fit instead.
lilias - how about adding a serving (25g) of low-fat cheddar cheese? On a sandwich or as a snack? That will give you a little bit more protein.
Laranna - my milo consists of 1/3 cup of milo (and NO I'm not kidding!!) and then the rest milk... and I have it cold so I can eat the milo off the top!! That's why I'm staying away from it!!
Lilias - vegies have protein in them. Also some other good sources are nuts and seeds (also have good fats), and pulses, lentils, tofu. Protein deficiency is really very unlikely to be a problem for a normal person (eg. not someone who does intensive amounts of exercise)
I have to admit my cup of milo was mostly milo with a dash of milk . It was really something I ate rather than drank.
The heat atm is making things hard. We did go for a walk yesterday but we got so hot so fast. Apparently it's meant to be cooler on Monday so I hope to get out for a long walk.
Lilias, I was having the same problem so I've started having omlettes for lunch and have a protein shake if I need a snack. Tonight I'm doing a stir fry, though I'll have mine without rice.
you girls should join WW! you can eat everything and save up points to use for the end of the week. it is more like healthy eating, not really dieting. you can buy the points guides on ebay if you can't afford to join. but they are having a special at the moment and i have a $30 off voucher in the latest WW mag. if anyone wants me to post it to them, PM me, i am more than happy to!
hope you are all doing well
Me too.:

initially I found it really hard to totally change my carbs to proteins, but as soon as I committed to it, I found the weight came off easily, and my metabolism really changed for the better.
Lilias.......do you have a continental deli nearby? One good high protein snack is roasted broad beans, or roasted fava beans. Sounds gross, but really yum and v.high in protein. They are my lifesaver, LOL!
So with the omelettes girls, anyone have a tasty recipe?
We're going out for dinner to a club for a friends birthday tonight, so hopefully I can choose something respectable! Today I've been good, really got past my cravings and I feel like I've gotten over the hill now. Also did half hour aerobics on the Wii Fit. :)
Mine sounds yuk, but I love it.
3 egg whites, whiaked with a fork, add some black pepper.
Add 15g of grated low fat tasty cheese
Chop up about 1/2 cup of veggies (mushrooms, capsicum etc)
Spray a fry pan with cooking spray. Fry the veggies. When they have browned, pour in the egg and cheese mixture. Fry till golden and crispy on both sides, and then serve with salad.
All this for only 86cals, 4.5g fat, 11.2g of protein and only 0.5g carbs.
That actually sounds really tasty Lucy... mmm ommlette!
I didn't put anything in because my scales said I lost 2kg and I didn't think it was right. I wish I read the thread earlier! It wasn't until someone commented that I looked like I lost some (what the?) that I thought maybe it was true, but now scales say 1kg gone!
I have been more stressed than anything, but trying very, very hard to eat even if I don't feel like it or else I pig out on crap. I've stuck to the hot water and lemon and am not drinking as much tea as usual. BIG drinky-poos last night, so thats a bit silly of me .
A few days ago I decided to really use the resistance stuff Lucy put up, and added a few things of my own. I got the soup cans out and my darling baby girl fetched some little tuna tins and lifted them too...soooooo cute. She is counting to 20 on her own now too!
I do lunges and we turn them into 'monster walks' and roar all over the house.
I've worked out how to use the stepper so my knees don't crack so much (I'm OLD!), I've been up and down the ladder painting for the day. Its great to FEEL the difference, and it doesn't make me pooped, it gives me instant energy!
And how can you say no when my princess runs to get her tuna tins and declares "exercise time mummy!".
Will post the next lot of stats next week. I might get a bit more used to it by then!
Oh Lucy, I have a ticker but I can never remember which one to use html or whatever....
Feeling really guilty- B4 DH left he bought me a Curly Wurly chocolate bar. My all time fav. Its been sat on the bench since Wed so over 48hrs. Today i have had a HUGE craving for sweets. (AF is around the cnr) I have walked past it 100 times and each time said no BUT i just gave in and meant to eat only half but ate it ALL  I checked on Calorie King and i am only over my No. of Calories for the day by 50 so i guess its not too bad but i didnt have any snacks today when i should have so thats the only reason why. I am finding it SO hard to eat 3 balanced meals and as i am used to eating nothing til about 3pm then grazing til dinner iykwim. Any tips?
Well off to do some more wii fit as i am so bored and lonely with DH gone. DD1 was at DC today so only been DD2 and I and then both girls in bed by 6.30 so really longing for some adult company. I think thats why i ate the choccy too i am a bit of an emotional eater
I find that rather than eating 3 meals I have 5 it breaks it up for me so I don't feel like I am starving myself - I actually feel like I am always eating... but I have smaller portions during the 5 meals
Lulu Lucy.........the ticker code you need is the BB code.....or if you are still confused, send me all of them and I will figure it out.
what is it with today? i have been craving sugar all day, chocolate etc. you name it!!
Hey gorgeous girlies :)
You are all doing such an amazing job! I thought I could keep up with this thread but I have so much going on right now I can't even keep up with the housework
Anyway... I did Tony Ferguson for a while and have one of the cookbooks. I'm happy to post a few recipes in the other thread if any of you are interested. There are quite a few yummy ones that are easy peasy to cook :)
did my weight watchers weigh in this morning (they are on saturdays and this challenge is on wednesdays!) and i have now lost 2kgs and a total of 29.5cms off my body (that is everything though, not just hips, waist and bust). am very proud of myself. had enough points saved up last night to have some ice cream and a couple of glasses of wine :)
hope you are all doing really well!! keep up the good work.
WTG Queenbee thats an awesome result.
Well i'm gonna be busy this weekend so not sure how much posting i'll get to do. I am off for a bridesmaid dress fitting this mo. The wedding is in 6 wks so its a bit of a worry with me losing weight but surely if i shrink i can have the dress taken in at last minute right? Then i am working 4-10om tonight and 8am-4pm tomo- yuk. Needless to say my mum is having the girls for me over night as i am only home long enough to sleep.
Hope you all have healthy exercised filled weekends :)
omg! I was just really naughty. (and im not talking the 3 tim tams i just ate!) dh just fixed our scales, and they work now. I tried them out this morning and it says ive lost 2.5kg since my weigh in on wednesday! I really shouldn't take it for gospel as the weigh in wasn't using these scales. Next weighin will be using this new figure and these scales!
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm tim tams. 2.5! Awesome result, will be interesting what they say on wednesday, well done rhianon! I just went for a hour walk and almost got blown away, so windy out there today. DP looked after DD so I went really fast! Ok off to do my 200 daily sit ups! Yeah!
I'm doing STRANGE exercice at the moment - things like shopping (which I usually loathe). Tonight's major exercise will be running around a ritual circle for the full moon.
ok, so the 2.5kg was wrong! The lesson: Don't put your scales on the carpet!! On the tiles, i put back on the 400g I lost!! But I intend to work my butt off through the next week coz I'm going to a wedding in a few hours, and wedding receptions are always full of temptations! I want to lose that 2.5kg for real!!!
some-one was after the fried rice recipe earlier...
Here it is!!
SINGLE SERVE FRIED RICE (Weight Watchers Points: 6)
1/3 cup brown rice
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 tsp grated ginger
1 crushed garlic clove
60g chopped lean ham
1/2 cup baby corn
80g green beans
1/4 chopped red capsicum
1 chopped green shallot
2tsp soy sauce
2 tsp hoisin sauce
3tsp rice wine vinegar
1. Cook the rice following packet instructions
2. Heat an oi-il sprayed, small non-stick frying pan over medium heat, pour in egg and cook for 15 seconds or until set. Remove and chop roughly.
3. Re-spray pan and add ginger, garlic, ham, corn, beans and capsicum. Stir-fry for 3 minutes , or until vegetables are tender.
4. Add rice, shallot, sauces and vinegar. Stir-fry until hot and serve.
(note: Chop beans and capsium to the same size as the corn so everything will cook evenly.)
